Most would pass by this divey cafe & not realize what they had missed. It's a hidden gem with lots of character serving authentic Cajun food. Try the Jambalaya & Gumbo w Andouille Sausage & Shrimp!

Jambalaya, blackened catfish, cornbread and spicy chili - it's all tasty in an unassuming setting that's a respite from this area's overly styled alternatives. It's been a favorite for a long time.

Hole in the wall spot in an area where high-end restaurants are the norm, just south of the very touristy St. Marks. Best wings around.

love this place so much, where to begin? the chicken, shrimp, andouille gumbo is my #1, but blackened catfish, fried chicken, and burgers score high too. if Mark Ibold is tending bar, all the better.

Love it here. For brunch, hit the Tulum eggs, huevos rancheros and definitely a side of cornbread. Bloody marys are spicy and good.

above the jukebox there's a high powered heater. If you turn the back of your head to it while you're waiting it's like a cozy shower of air blowing on you. Very therapeutic.

Filled with true Mardi Gras character - beads cover the walls and a jukebox plays in the corner. There are limited choices but huge portions. You need to try the jalapeno cornbread and a bloody mary.

Small place but big flavor. One of the closest to actual Cajun/creole cuisine in the city I've found thus far. The wings are Definitely a must try

Brunch is $12.95 and comes with choice of sides and coffee, tea or juice. The andouille omelette is my favorite. Cocktails are separate of brunch cost.

The chili never fails. The wings are some of my favorite in town and the fried oysters are yummy. Be careful not to over order because portions are generous.

A super low-key, old school NY type of place. Fair prices, good bar, cool crowd, and solid food. Try the Cajun wings.

One word: biscuits and gravy. Reasonably priced, very filling, and the mood/decor is just right. Could easily be on the South or the Midwest.
