The coffee Mecca of the SF tech world. Cappuccino, a New Orleans iced, or a single origin drip will all serve you well. Surprisingly good breakfast. Get any egg dish, or the fruit compote.

Get the New Orleans style iced coffee. It's nicely done. Also got the single source brew; it was a balanced nutty and fruity flavor but I prefer New Orleans. Good oatmeal w/fruit. Pricey. 4/5

The avocado toast and waffle are amazing. I like to order the waffle with bacon and the avocado toast with poached egg. Try the syphon! It is a 15 min wait, but it all worth it!

What to Order: The growing chain is known for its New Orleans–style iced coffee and the SG-120, a single-origin mini latte named after the Japanese glass in which it's served.

Unassuming place from the outside. Good coffee, even by European standards 😜. Poached egg on toast was good. Friendly staff and fast service even though it was very busy.

Blue Bottle is considered to be the mecca of coffee in San Francisco, particularly in SoMa. And, for good reason. Their coffee will not disappoint, and they also have quite a good brunch on weekends.

Lovely spot in sketchy hood. More blend, less single origin beans nowadays, but baristas make it right. Fancy toys, long lines, loud conversations, high ceilings and one of the best Affogato in town

Don't be put off by the extreme hipsters, they're good souls & purveyors of damn fine coffee. Start a conversation, they know their stuff. Excellent flat white, but feel I should have gone for siphon

What can you really say that's negative? This place is a piece of third-wave coffee culture. It's refined, classic, & modern all at the same time. Blue bottle is a genius for design and implementation

Almond milk +$1, cappuccino $3.75 =$4.75 for 6 ounce coffee! Lucky it's good. Limited food options but includes eggs, granola and sandwiches. La Marzocco machine.

So I am not going to write what everyone else writes. We all know it is legit coffee in an awesome location. All I am going to say is that if you like a Piccolo Latte order a SG120. That is all.

The Gibraltar/cortado is good here. As is the affogato on a really hot day. Can get very crowded, but still you'll usually get space to read a book or whip out your tablet/laptop.

If you haven't been here before, you might think $5 for toast is excessive. Then again, it's the best toast ever. The New Orleans iced coffee is fantastic too.

Great atmosphere, but for the thousands people that think the same. Hard to get a spot. Coffee is good and prepared with care, but it takes 20 minutes and $11 to get a macchiato and a chia pudding.

Even if you don't normally enjoy coffee, Blue Bottle is a must-visit in San Francisco. Their brew is earthy and complex, yet manages to eschew the bitterness that is the hallmark of most coffee.

If you don't want to wait in the giant line, you can hit up the coffee cart right outside the store in mint plaza, just make sure to have a credit card handy because they don't take cash.

Try to get a smile or kind word out of the people who work here. I dare you. You'll fail, no doubt. To kick the stakes up a notch, try for a smile after asking for a straw for your iced coffee.

Every coffee drink here is great, like at all Blue Bottle locations, but this has the Kyoto Iced Coffee, which is a must try for any coffee lover. Pour a bit of cream, no stir, no sugar. Smooooooth.
