Beautiful park with a great location. Omni hotel is a 30 step walk. Gas Lamp a block away and convention center with plenty of parking 2 blocks. Enjoy the game and downtown.
Incorporating the Western Metal Building in the ballpark is awesome. A really good beer selection, in a wonderful part of town. Day or Night game, the weather is going to be comfortable.

Get a Randy Jones BBQ sliced brisket sandwich (w/ extra sauce) in center field. Go to the Hall Of Fame Bar in left (if it's a blowout) & the Ballpark Brews stand on the first base side for good beer.
Depending on time of day, easily fast park, buy tickets right on Park, Tony Gwynn Dr. Lots of temp parking to buy tixx. Avoid surcharges if it makes sense & cents for you Padres faithful. LA fans pay!
The first baseball game ever played at Petco Park, on March 11, 2004, was the first game of a four-team NCAA invitational tournament hosted by San Diego StateUniversity.
This is my favorite ball park thus far. Great architecture blending old and new, and has such an intimate feeling nestled between downtown buildings. City view at night from upper deck is stunning.
Love their healthy selections. Paradise Bowls serves fresh fruitsgranola with acaijuice. Seafood selection of clam chowder and shrimpavocado salad? FRESH! Other ballparks need to take note!
Lots of local craft brew options throughout the ballpark, but there are stands specifically dedicated to the local breweries near home plate. Don't miss them!
One of the best ballparks in America featuring local cuisine and craft brews throughout the park. Don't miss the "Anchorman" race during weekend games.

I had the honor of throwing out the first pitch at this very stadium. As soon as I left the mound I was offered a 7-year contract. Unfortunately, I was not able fulfill due to a prior engagement.

In the city. Very cool stadium almost spills out onto the main road. A bit like Lords Cricket Ground in London in that you dont really feel like you are in a stadium.
