Amazing park. Great animal attractions n awesome rides/shows like expedition Everest. and its tough to be a bug. The addition of Pandora flight of passage avatar ride make it even better. GetAFastPass
A great day out! Part zoo, part theme park. All beautifully done and pleasant to walk around in the sun. The ‘Kilimanjaro Safaris’ and the tigers in the ‘Maharajah Jungle Trek’ are a must-do.
The centerpiece of Disney’s Animal Kingdom is the astonishing Tree of Life. The 145-foot-tall and 50-foot-wide “tree” features a tapestry of over 300 animals carved into the trunk, roots, & branches. Read more
Out of all 4 WDW resortparks this one is my favorite ... great decor, nice change of park food, lots of sit down shows. Make sure to have your kid do the scavenger hunt and do the sight seeing maps.
Go to Africa and grab a spiked dole whip sundae. Especially with coconut rum, yum! And yak and yeti isn't a Disney restaurant so your dining plan won't cover top but it's a must to try. Flavors omg!
Be sure you book your fastpass for Pandora attractions ASAP. If there are none available try going to those attractions at night for a shorter wait time.
Best Disney theme park in my opinion hands-down Talmage I'll safaris Callie River Rapids expedition Everestfinding Nemo the musical festival of the lion King all stunning shows rides and attractions
Great park. There aren't as many amusement rides, but what they have is great. The zoo is amazing, but you don't see as many animals on hot days. I also find this the most humid of the parks.
Of course it's going to smell like crap, it's called animal kingdom for a reason right? I mean the rides are pretty good, Mount Everest is a must! This park is really for kids though.
Love everything about this place! Wacky characters, beautiful animals, and thrilling rides are only half the fun! Be sure to try Nemo musical, Everest, & Dinosaur! & no better food than Tusker House.
Pandora. I’m not a massive fan of the Avatar films myself and even I can see that Pandora is a masterpiece of a land, and rivals Galaxies Edge at HS. The Na’avi River Ride and Passage are amazing!
1.Head straight to the Kilamjaro ride as soon as the parks open the animals are way more active after 11:00am they are all settling down in the brush making the much harder to find and see. 2
One of the best places to go if you are going to check out Disney. This is where most of the better rides are compared to the other parks. Especially if you have older kids that aren't too gung-ho abo
A great surprise. I had been delaying a visit to the park for a few years, and was greatly impressed. It's not as big as Magic Kingdom or EPCOT, but it does have attractions for every age group.
Great park. Lots of great photo ops. Don't get on the Wildlife Express Train. Utter waste of time! Do eat at Tucker House in Africa! All u can eat buffet w/sit down service & Disney characters
Be sure to sign up for your 3 free fast passes. We didn't know about them, but everyone gets 3 free with ticket purchase. They fill up fast and can be scheduled 60 days in advance.
A must see roller coaster at Disney's Animal Kingdom. Travel into the mountain, inside and out, escaping the yeti. You go backwards at times and its so much fun...
Our least favorite park. We can only travel in summer and it is somewhat miserable to be there in the summer. Even the new Pandora boat ride keeps you in the heat while in line. It's exhausting.
Beautiful park. The tree of life is a very photogenic spot. Everest, the safari and Dinosaur are the best rides. Be sure to see the gorillas on the trail near the safari.
This park is probably far more entertaining for children than for adults, but Expedition Everest is a fantastic coaster. Get to the safari as early in the day as possible, the animals are more active!
Exotic animals around every corner, this beautiful and immersive park redefines a theme park and zoo combination. Open range areas for the animals, thrilling rides for the guests, live shows and music
The Pandora Avatar area is awesome. Do yourself a favor and get your fast pass online no later than the day before your visit. They only have so many and are usually gone within minutes of opening.
There's a nice gluten-free vendor up a ways on the right from the entrance. Hummus, ricechips, and even gluten-free beer was available. Definitely FastPass the safari and Mount Everest.
Sounds unexpected, but don't miss "It's Tough to be a Bug!" It's literally located inside The Tree of Life (which is neat), fun, and laugh-out-loud funny. Always a crowd pleaser!
I always skipped this park but now I don't know why! Its a great 9a-3p day & I think it has the best rides 4 adults. Everest, rapids, & dinosaur were definite must dos... The tree is gorgeous too ;)
Tusker House character breakfast is one of our favorite dining experiences at DW. Make a reservation an hour before the park opens for best photo ops, and be first in line for safari.
Must see the Festival of the Lion King. One of my favorite shows I have seen at all of the parks. On a good day, you could get through the majority of this park in 3/4 of the day so plan accordingly.
Wonderful day. Take the Safari ride. It's like a mini safari where the animals are right beside the truck that you ride in. All the workers at the park are very friendly and helpful.
Do all the outdoor rides in the morning before it rains therefore when it does rain you can do the indoor activities and you won't miss out on anything. I learned that the hard way.
Please ride kilamanjaro as soon as the parks open the animals are more active and you'll be able to take lots of pictures. Expedition Everest is awesome. Kali river rapids you will get soaked.
Thought this park was worth only half a day(morning). When it gets hotter the animals lie around and don't come out as well. Have a park hopper so you can see the park and then go back to another.
See the Nemo production and "It's tough being a bug". My 2 favorites. Oh, and the Lion King production, too! Be prepared to be hot, though. Not a lot of relief from the heat at the Animal kingdom.
