- Visit MaineNovember 6, 2011Cool place with excellent fish tacos - Snake Bite Margarita awesome if you like a bit of heat. Outside seating area great to enjoy a summer day away from the hustle & bustle of the Old Port.
- The tacos disintegrate by the time food arrived at table. Had to eat the filling with a fork. It's as if the cooks who prepare them are the first hipsters to never had a taco from from a food truck
- Portland Old PortApril 15, 2013Outdoor seating in the summer, $3 tacos are small enough that you can easily try 3 different kinds or try the grande nachos or yucatan burrito!
- Shelby CarignanSeptember 14, 2014Great fish/pork/everything tacos, yummy cocktails, reasonable prices. Get the blistered shishito peppers and a lime wedge to squeeze over them!
- Bonus points for having all nutrition info available upon request. They also have a ton of easily identifiable gluten free items.
- Pork taco tastes as if its pork from a giant tub with Kraft bbq sauce added. Sooo sweet. Stopped eating it after 2 bites.
- DebbieSeptember 2, 2014Tacos were a bit soggy but it was due to the sauce used on the verdura tacos. The taco plate is a bit of a small portion for what you're being charged. The food was ok, nothing special. Get drinks!
- The service is in fact horrible but the happy hour specials are worth it and by your second margarita it stops bothering you so much. The food is delicious too!
- Joseph RouhanaMarch 26, 2011We got great service despite all the other posts. The snake bite margerita was great and you can't beat the carnitas burrito.
- ShawnJuly 29, 2012The $5 ear if corn is, believe it it not, worth $5. But why I had to wait 45min for friggin burrito is beyond me. Creative drink menu. So so food.
- Do not order chips, salsa or guacamole. They give you about 6 chip if you count the little broken pieces and charge 2.50 without telling you when we asked if we could have a few more chips. Ridiculous
- MikeJanuary 1, 2011in town for new years. the service and food were excellent. very nice drink specials too.
- CoryFebruary 3, 2010Best trivia night! Team Tompion - Anything is possiblllllllle! Big fan of carnitas burrito with hot sauce.
- If you can stand the redonk staff, waiting to order, waiting for your food, apps delivered after main courses, a totally random mono playlist and a wafting dumpster the food is totally tremendous.
- Great street-style Mexican food at an affordable price. Go nuts!
- The mexican chocolate pudding is TINY and drowned in whipped cream. WTF, El Rayo? You just made me so sad.
- Service is pretty much the worst in town. Slow & unapologetic when mistakes are made. Sadly I'll probably be back because it's the only decent Mexican food in Portland.
- Lex NicoleAugust 22, 2011I don't understand the appeal of this place. Really busy on a Monday night. Food is soso. Service is bad.
- Brent Reiche DCAugust 13, 2010I agree this the previous posts. Very slow service. Not very kid friendly. 45 min wait for a burrito!?!? I hope they keep tabs on their web credit or lack there of.
- Lee RaderOctober 6, 2010"bad service" is an understatement. watched a waitress literally walk around in dazed circles doing nothing. fail. go to mesa verde.
