If you are looking to travel in to or out off Brighton, on a train, this place is for you. There is ample car parking, a taxi rank, and bike racks all of which really help to augment the experience.
11 minute walk to the beach from here. Come out of the stations main entrance and follow the road downhill to the end, where you'll find sand, sea and possibly some sun too
A lot of coffee shops for take away coffees and snacks, corner shop, m&s, nice cleantoilets with 20p charge, and taxis right next to the exit of the station.
When bus replacement is running ALWAYS take a coach rather than a bus to Three Bridges if available. You'll see how fast and smooth a coach is compared to a bus 😉
Queues to the help desks are always massive – use one of the touch screen machines to buy your tickets. Better still order online beforehand and then you only need to collect them using the machine.
Moksha Coffee Kart[sic] started operating at the entrance from the car park this week (6/1/11). Much the best coffee on the station. (Mornings only AFAIK)
If travelling on the weekend, get to the station early as the schedule is never the same as what's printed or what's on National Rail Enquiries! Crazy fools.
