If you're looking for pretentiousartisanalthird wave coffee and espresso, you've found your temple. It's fast service and relatively cheap, too. Get a cortado to stay.
The first-ever draft latte on tap--yep, just like beer--combines milk and espresso so it’s foamy, smooth and naturally sweet. Best of all, it’s also available in a can. Read more
I now know why there is always a line. Fantastic coffee, stay-in or take-out. And while not on menu, they have a secret stash of tea for those non-coffee caffeinators (whoever they may be!)
If you're feeling a second lunch, try the double chocolate + walnutscookie. It's like eating a batch of brownie mix. It'll knock you down for a while, but you'll come back for more.
Great Coffee! You must try their dark chocolate with espresso. Beans are granulated in this dark chocolate.. I believe 10% of it is coffee. Delicious and great pick-me up.
Classic cappuccinos. They cater to first timers, busy workers looking for a quick cup to go, and longtime locals alike. Service is cheery even early in the morning -- try the ham & cheese croissant!
The line looks overwhelming from the outside, but it's probably an optical illusion caused by all the teens waiting on the curb for the Supreme shop next door at all hours of every day.
Great coffee in NYC! Finally! Glad to see they have started selling their coffee to nice restaurants and cafes around the city. My only frustration is the fact that they don't offer Wi-Fi
The Corsica blend which they brew daily, is the best coffee I have had in a long time. now I'm hooked and go there every few weeks to pickup whole beans to brew at home. The baked goods ( I had the oa
iced coffee here is an iced red eye, and it's fantastic. if you come in the morning, respect the serpentine line and have your $3 at the ready, things move very quickly at La Colombe.
If you know this place, you're probably a regular. Strong, rich coffee & espresso, double basket pulls, and iced coffees automatically get upgraded to red eyes. Roast can feel a bit "dirty" at times.
The Philadelphia coffee company opened a spacious outpost on Lafayette where coffee experts come by for a quick espresso or cappuccino, all made with fair trade beans.
Great iced coffees. Way more seating than the SoHo shop several blocks to the south. Chill at the long standing table or on the bench outside on the Lafayette side.
Their coffee ruined all other coffees for me. Seriously they have the best I've ever had. There's a reason why theres always a line. Also their baristas are really cool
Top-notch espresso and croissants from Ceci-Cela are among the best in the city. Come a little before closing and you might score some bonus pastries if you're sweet to the staff.
Tasting Table Top 10 Iced Coffee: "Ask for an iced coffee at this Philly import and you'll actually get several shots of espresso plus coffee over ice--a perfectly chilled red eye"
They just retrained their staff to recognize iced coffee as cold brew so if you want their old style of iced coffee make sure to order an iced red eye!
My coworker said that their iced lattes taste like crack. I'm not sure exactly what crack tastes like, however it is delicious and there's probably crack IN it...in a good way, lol.
You know everybody is talking about that iced coffee with an espresso shot in it. But next time you are here, try the chocolate cookie with walnuts. Yum!
Great cold brew, but it gets so loud and crowded that it becomes impossible to hear yourself think or hear the person you're with. Opt for the bench outside instead!
Nestled on Lafayette and Prince, we're absolutely obsessed with the modern design, high ceilings, and robust beans at La Columbe. Order an iced coffee - each cup is topped with a shot of espresso.
I loved the drafticed latte, but I DON'T love how there isn't a restroom. Gotta go to REI, I suppose. Seattle saves the day again. What is wrong with this city!?
That 15min wait got you more bitter than your espresso shot? Head half a block east on Prince to McNally's Books - the coffee's just as good and there's no line!
Im a coffeholic and was so excited to try La Colombe when I visit NY. It's not bad but I have had better. I ordered a cappuccino. The texture was prefect but with more milk than I like.
Excellent coffee but the line is often ridiculous. Walk over to Bowery Coffee which is one block away, equally delicious but much less hyped and therefore less busy.
Protip: Starting in a few weeks, if you want to go old-school, order an "Iced Redeye." Otherwise, when you order an Iced Coffee, you'll get something from the new cold brew machine
every iced coffee is a red eye; it's really fucking delicious. I saw tobey maguire here a week ago and had to resist the urge to go "pew pew" with my spidey hands.
