Don't miss your Essex stop on the Brooklyn bound J. The next stop is Marcy, 2 miles away and you can't switch directions without paying.

The transfer spots to the Queens-bound F train platform seem to be slippery. You’ll always find performers by this platform.

You can get M train on the upper level and F on the lower level for uptown. It's a bit confusing but you will get used to it.

On the Brooklyn-bound J/M platform you can get reception if you're on AT&T. Stand at the back railing of third staircase. It's the one across from the newsstand on the other side. w00t!

Try not to mention to the station staff members that you can see the platform ghosts. It unsettles them.

The M train is such a welcome addition to the BDF family! It's clean and not nearly as scary as the V was!

Loving that the M stops here now. I hate walking down to the lower level for the F train.

Check out the iPhone app Roadify for all subways. It's free and it rocks.

The 4th pole on the left of the stairs leading to the J Train is the best 4 leaning against. It has piqaint 20th century silver box & a captivating view.even the rats seem picturesque from this vista
