Easiest and sometimes the fastest way to get into the heart of the city, take this to Powell Street Station if you need to get to your hotel in Union Square and the cost per BART trip is reasonable

You can take a taxi, airport shuttle or BART into the city and even to the East Bay and of the three options, the fastest and cost effective is taking BART to your destination in the city or East Bay

If you want a seat, walk as far away from the escalator as possible. A 10 car train runs the full length of the platform.

If a waiting train doesn't open the doors right away don't be alarmed. Things move at a casual pace here but you will get on sir bart and hopefully to your destination.

BART Airport Station? Love this idea, definitely genius and it's certainly a lifesaver. I tried it myself and found it a cost effective idea.

There is an outlet for charging your laptop or phone next to the fire extinguisher. Hellz yeah!

Buying a ticket is against any sense of logic. Find your zone, find you price, insert credit card, it will preauthorize $20 purchase. Start deducting $ until you reach your desired price. Get ticket.

The fastest way to go from the airport to San Francisco downtown and Oakland. One-way ticket cost 2018 $9.65 Bonus is the train looks like something from an early Star Trek movie.

You need to have more than an 1hr layover if you are connecting from domestic to International. The terminal is BIG

Find the camouflaged outlet at the base of the silver fire extinguisher box and use it to recharge your devices while awaiting the train to SF.

Leaving town with unused fare on your blue ticket? If the extra's $2 or more, you can request a refund by mail - ask the station agent for a preaddressed envelope. Read more

You can buy a clipper card at the info booth outside the station so you don't have to worry about tickets 👍👍

From international terminal, walk around escalator to Airtrain and just walk into Bart station. Also, you can walk completely around the airport without relying on Airtrain if you are so inclined.

Nights and weekends, one track goes to sf, pittsburgh/bay point and the other goes to millbrae. Weekdays, all trains go towards sf. Transfer at san bruno for millbrae.

If you don't have a lot of luggage, you can walk to all terminals by exiting towards the front (international terminal). Good exercise before sitting for who knows how long.

You can walk to Terminal 3 from BART. Don't go to the air train upstairs. Go out the BART doors and continue going straight. Go down the escalator. Follow the signs to Terminal 3. Easy!

Mesmerized by the sparkling sequins moving the breeze around the escalators. You'll see what we mean. Make sure you have cash for the BART train & follow us on Twitter @Jaunted.

Walk to International Terminal G or Terminal 3 instead of taking the AirTrain. Just walk on the BART platform towards the airport.

Machines provide change only up to $4.95. If you have a $10 or $20 bill but want to buy a ticket $5 or less in value, use the adjacent bill changing machine to change to $5 bills.I know, it's stupid.

Read a very disturbing and recent report of the bacteria found on a scary number of BART seats. I never write tips but you may want to stand on the long ride to the city! Also google BART and clean

Get off the air train at the international terminal and not the dedicated BART stop. There are the same number of ticket machines, but fewer people trying to use them.

When you get off the airtrain everyone will rush to the BART ticket machines visible from the train. Walk around the other side of the staircase and there are 5 more ticket machines there. No line.
