There is a reason BLG has been voted Best Italian food in the Twin Cities with dishes like the 'Nduja Egg Raviolo. It grabs a hold of your taste buds and doesn't let go until every bit is gone. Read more

With a menu of antipasti, bruschetta, and pasta (in half or full portions), Bar la Grassa offers top notch food in a more casual atmosphere with a lively crowd every night of the week.

I had the raw tuna dish, the smoked spaghetti, and the carbonara. The dishes were great, but the reason it doesn’t get a 5 Star from me is the carbonara was lacking a good amount of seasoning. Cheers!

Get the Gnocchi with Cauliflower and Orange as well as the Mushroom and Taleggio Agnolotti. Both were incredible and melt in your mouth awesome. All the food here is extremely rich and flavorful!

Bar La Grassa is a North Loop mainstay for good reason. They have the trifecta of fabulous handmade pasta, perfect negronis, and high standards of service that diners look for in an Italian restaurant.

The gnocchi is a must have and their best selling dish! Also, the pasta negra, mushroom and taleggio agnolotti, cavatelli (w/rabbit!) and bisteca are amazing! One of the best restaurants in Mpls!

More impressed by the antipasto and bruschetta than the main courses. The chicken liver mousse, the spiced carpaccio, soft eggs & lobsters, and the white anchovy & avocado are delicious.

Soft eggs with lobster is a must. Pass on the pasta negra w/ mussels and sea urchin chili (even though the other reviews say so); it's pretty yet somewhat bland. Smoked black cod salad is solid too.

Gnocchi with orange and cauliflower was delicious - same with the marinated pork shoulder bruschetta. The pasta negro was a bit lackluster in comparison, though. Split a bottle of wine & you're set!

Don't wait until the last minute to make a reservation because the place is always filled, even during the week. And you must get the orange and cauliflower gnocchi!

Beats NYC. Must-eat: roasted shishito pepper with chocolate tapenade bruschetta, paccheri w/saffron milk braised chicken, gnocchi w/cauliflower & orange, saporosa vinegar linguine, red wine spaghetti!

Start with some Bruschetta. I recommend the Spicy Carpaccio, or the Pork Shoulder. Entrees: the Crab Ravioli was excellent! my wife loved the Red Wine Spaghetti. Get creative and share! Enjoy!

Everything here is great. You literally cannot go wrong. But if there was only one thing in this city that I could only eat for the rest of my life, it would be the ricotta they make here.

In the top 5 restaurants in the state, everything we tried was first class. Dinner for two was $40 plus drinks, so it's pretty affordable considering how amazing the food + atmosphere is.
