- Giota VarelaJuly 14, 2013Such a cute cafe! I loved the artwork and the music playing and the staff seemed really friendly. Oh and that iced mocha I got was just perfect for a hot summer day :)
- One of my favourite coffee shops in Toronto. Love the decor and always a great atmosphere. The iced chai latte is great here!
- Dan BrownAugust 11, 2014One of the best cafes s in the Kensington/Chinatown/Spadina area. Great selection of lunches and coffees. Take a spot on the mezzanine floor if you want some quiet - it gets... *yelling* REALLY LOUD!
- Işın ÜnlüMay 19, 2015One of best cafes in Toronto! If you wanna work or study here, dont try :) cuz it's too loud! But good design, good location and best coffee in the city!
- Laurie TaniguchiSeptember 25, 2011Great space! I was here for a wedding - great venue for a party. Jasmine tea is great. Tea comes loose leaf and in french press - and I'm noticing that coffee drinkers get individual french press.
- Franz VitulliSeptember 23, 2016Great coffee and very nice decor. So much space to hang out with your friends or to use your laptop at the communal tables.
- Luke AlbertMay 22, 2013Almond lattés that are usually pretty close to perfection, and usually some great vegan treat. I find their espresso sweet - think delicious molasses. Beautiful atmosphere.
- prima filiMarch 20, 2016Good vibe, nice decor, the roll I had was a bit stiff but the flat white was quite good. A cool place to sit and do stuff. Communal tables though.
- Mário LapošMay 31, 2016Gotta appreciate the staff, lots of natural light and work-friendly http://torontoism.com/toronto-news/2016/05/work-from-coffee-shops-toronto
- Diogo NoronhaMay 25, 2014The espresso is one of the best in town (of not the best), and make sure to try their muffins! It's not a work friendly environment, though.
- After all these years, this deep dark latte is still my favourite in Toronto.
- Lena CipolloneMay 6, 2014All of the drinks are amazing especially the cappuccinos!! One of the best made in the city. Baked goods are nomilious :)
- Jason QuintalJune 3, 2016Maybe the best looking cafe in the city. They make those lattes with designs drawn on top. Nice touch.
- Friendly staff, chill beats, great idea with communal tables, but this lofty space feels more like an upscale jeans outlet than a coffeehouse. Too noisy and starbuckslike ordinary.
- Find a CofficeJune 24, 2013Great place, always full of laptops and people plugging away. Oh yeah great coffee too. Get the Iced Americano. (via @elatlboy) Read more
- My favourite coffee place in TO. Grab a mocha, sit at the communal table and people watch.
- Rachel BOctober 6, 2016Great place to meet innovative people who are coming and going from the centre for social innovation (CSI)
- TatjanaOctober 25, 2016Great cafe because of location, decor and coffee. Not so great because of half awake staff, unreliable free wifi and loud music.
- Ncedile MankahlaFebruary 2, 2020Lovely staff, balanced coffee. And good ambiance music. Lovely place to work.
- Luke AndrewsJanuary 27, 2013You could go to any Dark Horse, but you might as well go to the nicest, grandest one. Reliably great coffee.
- KidhackJuly 27, 2016If you're going to work from here make sure your laptop is charged (and has a good battery) cause this place doesn't have any outlets.
- Decent coffee and sandwiches. Service can feel overwhelmed during peak times
- Great space to have a conversation with someone; not so great space if you plan on camping out with a laptop. Go elsewhere for that.
- The butter tarts and brownies are the best in the city! Grab a cappuccino while you're at it, sit down at the big table and spend all afternoon reading the papers. You might even make a new friend.
- King Blue CondosSeptember 18, 2012@darkhorsecafe - wi-fi & a more cozy, hip, stylish feel caffeine fix. @MaddestRedGirl loves her coffee! Read more
- Judy HarrisonAugust 23, 2018Delicious ham and cheese croissant . Above average tasting latte. Nice presentation...
- Vivian LamAugust 30, 2014My top pick for flat white! Better than rabbit hole in asia and any other vancouver flat whites!
- Malcolm StrachanMarch 21, 2013Ordered a lemonade, but they only had enough for 2/3s of a glass. Barista nervously looked around, then topped it up with a ton of ice... and of course charged full price. Not too impressed.
- SkyeFebruary 20, 2013Banana Bread too die for. Where are the outlets for my computer. Very cool people. I see 6 gingers hanging out today.
- TechSoup CanadaAugust 25, 2012Best brownies! Great place to have an informal meeting with friends or clients.
- laurie D-SNovember 20, 2009Great relaxed atmosphere - though busy. Only one outlet by the orange chairs. Sun can make it hot but that's nice on a hot day. Lots of free papers. And, of course, free wifi
- My go to hipster-coffee-shop meeting place. Everyone knows it and there is usually room to sit.
- If you want to work here, leave your laptop charger at home (no plugs). The French press is a good way to kick-start any work day.
- Morgan CowieFebruary 4, 2010Such a great coffee shop to chill out with friends, colleagues or on your own. Americano will get you going & the yogourt/granola/fruit is delicious.
- The raspberry and coconut bars are spectacular - if you don't try these and they're in the window you've made a bad decision! So good
- The brownies are amazing: crispy exterior, serious melt in your mouth interior.
