I work down the street, so Julius Meinl is the only place within walking distance to grab a bite to eat. Nice staff, quaint location, and their cake slices are out of this world. Best pastries ever!

Great little to-go outpost of the Meinl family on quiet Ravenswood Ave. The banana scone is to die for.

Friday and Saturday are krapfen (austrian donut) days - get there early and get a creme brûlée

If you can get a bacon cheddar scone still warm from the oven, you will be happy all day.

They have real cream and sugar out for your coffee. You can't find any of that low fat or artificial stuff here.

This is the location where they make pastries for other locations. Smells amazing.

There are other locations for this franchise around town, but this one is the least busy and has the best service. Hours are weird though.
