- Leo SumulongAugust 11, 2014Although it's a fairly busy airport, this one is surprisingly calm. Nice spaces, clean, lots of places to eat. Grab yourself a Fazer chocolate at a shop and get acquainted with Moomin while you wait.Upvoted 1 week ago
- CevinoOctober 28, 2017Find one of the water dispensers where you can refill your bottle with hot and cold water for free. The one on the picture you can find near gate 54.Upvoted 1 day ago
- One of the best airport I've ever been. It is not so crowded, no big queues on check in and security control, free WiFi. Also you can find many electrical outlets here.Upvoted 1 day ago
- Kyriakos G. 🍺 🍔August 2, 2017Very efficient and easy airport with nice spaces to relax. Sockets for charging literally everywhere!Upvoted 1 week ago
- Lumduan NajaJuly 25, 2018People at Helsinki are polite and very friendly. This is not the first time that I forgot/dropped stv and someone ran after me to give things back to me :) Btw, Geisha Chocolate is very yummyUpvoted Jan 15
- Now the cheapest & easiest way to city centre is to follow signs to adjoined train station, buy a ticket & then hop on the first train that comes. Finnair City Bus is a bit faster, almost same price.
- An airport is an airport. But, apart from first thing in the morning, Helsinki has a relaxed, friendly & efficient vibe that’s pretty rare elsewhere. The coffee in the Arctic Bar is very good too.
- Michał GrelewskiJune 8, 2017As You could expect in Finland - everything here is done well. From normal, working wifi, trough tasty croissants (however food rather expensive) to places for rest and well organised security control
- Fill your water bottle with tap water - yes, it is cleaner than any bottled water! A visit to Oak Barrell with a social media update is the most Finnish thing you can do. 😉
- One of the most convenient airports in the world. It took me just 10 minutes from the cab to the gate. Oh and they have a pretty fast free wifi.
- Vika DiJanuary 4, 2019Take the train to the city center. In comparison to a taxi, which costs around 60 €, you can get easily to the city center by train for just 5 €
- Efficient, clean, authentic.. pretty much everything works, regardless of the weather..
- Now there are special cold water taps around the airport for filling your water bottle. Nice, and about time too 👍🏼💦
- OulaApril 4, 2017Staff is usually very friendly, and although it can get a little crowded during rush hours, it's still a very nice and organized airport!
- Gauthier GinistyAugust 8, 2017Go to Wine And View for a quick snack ! A few euros over the other options, but worth it. Sit on designer chairs, eat quality scandinavian tapas, and enjoy the view
- Toni LAugust 10, 2018You can fill your own water bottle at child care room near passport control. Nice airport with good amenities after the security checkpoint.
- NokiaAugust 8, 2011Welcome to Finland, the land of a thousand lakes and home of Nokia! Use the free airport Wi-Fi on your phone to connect with friends and family.
- 25min train connection to Helsinki downtown now open! Choose either direction - all trains stop at Helsinki Central Railway Station.
- Fuyuhiko TakayaOctober 3, 2015First of all, purchase prepaid SIM card at KIOSK before heading to Helsinki city !! And if you have single ticket for a train, do not forget to validate a ticket on a train.
- Pick the right taxi queue! Big Taxi companies, eg. Taksi Helsinki & Lähitaksi have a fixed rate (€35 / €39) to city center. Look for the rate at the taxi queues & confirm €€ with your driver.
- Christian NelsonJune 13, 2017It's the easiest airport to navigate. And of course I'm a bit partial, it is my home county. Hihi… *(",)*
- Hanna LeskinenSeptember 7, 2014Alepa in the arrivals floor sells Finnish food for those who dare to try karjalanpiirakka and such. A perfect spot right after landing for Finnish expats with cravings ♡
- Majed AlashariFebruary 24, 2020Nice modern airport with free WiFi & Variety of shops, restaurants & cafes. Airport design has inspiration of Finland culture. The new T2 expansion is very beautiful.
- Perhaps one of the most authentic Europe airports. Finnish design is everywhere. Sweet and comfy
- The upstairs sleep pods are sometimes free to use, worth checking if you have a long wait! Upstairs from the iittala shop.
- Easy to navigate and takes only a moment to transfer between gates. Smooth passport control and self-service works great! The airport itself gets boring after 30minutes
- Jenya SJanuary 12, 2020Very clean, efficient airport. Free fast wifi. The longest possible transition between the gates is about 30min (provided you have biometric passport if going in/out Schengen zone). Mummin stores! :)
- Jenny JaakkolaFebruary 12, 2015The departure hall is right next to the gates, quick service and very clean and neat. Not a massive amount of shops. Non-schengen gates are far away, go to pass control well ahead of time!!
- Not sure if a priority security line exists, but security moves relatively quickly. Clean! Plenty of good food choices in T2, fewer on non-Schengen side. Be careful as status announcements are rare.
- Jason JokerstOctober 10, 2022Love this airport! Great restaurants selections. They just recently did a lot of upgrades so it feels like a brand new place. Friendly airport staff and easy to navigate
- Irem TURKEL KESKINMay 31, 2023One of the best airport I have ever seen, clean, modern and close to the city. Transportation to the city center takes around 40 mins by train and only EUR 4.1
- Extra time before check-in or after landing? Go check out the awesome pan pizzas in the Cesar's Food Court in the T2 basement. One pepperoni pan pizza will easily feed two adults!
- Altan 😎March 3, 2014I really like this airport.. Definitely convenient for every situation .... Cafe tori nice place to hang out, spending some time .. Also good prices ...
- There are "sleeping pods" dotted around the airport where you can lie on a flat bed, isolate the noise by closing in a shutter - even charge your phone inside! Get snapped up really quickly though.
- Ralitsa IvanovaMarch 2, 2018You can find a lot of restaurants, shops and stores at the airport. Last minute gifts and souvenirs are easy to get here! The airport is very “long” though so if you transfer here be mindful!
- Gilbert CorralesNovember 10, 2013If you r looking for breakfast and have a little time to spare, go to gate 14a there is a breakfast buffet. For €14 you get a lot more for ur money than just buying a sandwich at one of the kiosks
- Wifi everywhere, variety of cafes/restaurants, easy access to city (get the tram ticket while at the airport, not available @station)
- Matteo PenzoNovember 22, 2022Clean, small and modern. Leave your computer and liquids inside your bag.
- Ralitsa IvanovaNovember 24, 2019The airport has been refurbished and now it's one of the best I have seen in Europe. Very open and convijients with lots of space for travellers not for shopping.
- Yahir DelzoOctober 29, 2016Good spaces, good stores, best of all free wi-fi access. Two options to take taxi: take out, is more expenaive or take inside with others in th same route, cheaper.
- J KoflerAugust 30, 2017Great airport for frequent travelers. Lots of space to sit, charge your mobile or tablet. Fast, free Wifi and lots of shops with great selections on offer.
- kirNovember 25, 2019one of the most well-organized airports with good free wi-fi. seek for tasty and cheap sandwiches in alepa grocery store at the end of terminal 2)
- Sarah TaylorAugust 5, 2016Great for food shopping but don't rely on it as they run low on stock easily (if you are looking for Finnish food). Great luxury and kitchenware shopping options
- BrommaboApril 25, 2015Good but expensive duty free shoping with famous brand as Marimekko, Arabica and Moomin. Free Wi-Fi in all airport. Best coffee in Terminal 1 at Johan&Nyström.
- Since few months ago there are two security check zones in terminal 2. Check the board for the processing times of each, and choose :-)
- GiacsonNovember 8, 2019Not the newest or most modern but clean and efficient and in big expansion.for taxis to Helsinki there’s different companies, ask for the cheapest (40€)
- Mohamed ElouafiMay 23, 2015Fast transfer, fast check-in. I loved the lounge it's a top class, there's a bunch of verity food.
- Check out the new Almost @Home Lounge that recently opened. Not as crowded as the other lounges.
- Sam MaesMarch 30, 2020Helsinki Airport is small and efficient. The Finnish design gives it a nice touch. Well connected to the city by a frequent train service.
- Carolina EstradaJanuary 9, 2014Best waiting place at gate 24 of T2. A meter away from main entramce to gate there are two tables with the most comfortable chairs at the gate. Enjoy the waiting time!
