- Carl GriffinSeptember 1, 2016Popular 16th century pub with amazing views. Made famous through the book 'Cider with Rosie'. Great real ales.
- Brianne FennessyJanuary 21, 2018A must if you're in the area. This pub is over 300 years old. It has such character, and friendly bar staff and patrons.
- Jonathan ClarkeDecember 30, 2013This is a proper pub, open fires, small and friendly. Great real ales on tap, try the Uley Pig's Ear. Also the food is *really* good - not just nice, fantastic.
- @Neil C: Nothing can be 'one of the most unique'. It's either unique or it isn't.The Woolpack is far from 'completely unchanged'. It's been extensively altered but often so subtly you don't notice.
- Neil CartwrightOctober 2, 2010One of the most unique pubs in Britain. As featured in Cider With Rosie, it remains completely unchanged. But the pear cider is totally undrinkable- I think it's the same barrel as Laurie Lee drank
- Jide SoboJuly 11, 2010The Mussels are delicious, as is the smoked salmon. The Buscombe bitter and Stowford Press cider are outstanding as well.
