Arriving past 9pm ? Go wait for your connexion upstairs in the Eurostar Check-In area. It's empty, quiet. There are standing desks, and the best view of the train station. Lovely spot.

Buy your museum pass from the tourist desk on your left when you left your Eurostar train. Then go to downstair to have your weekly Navigo pass. It can be loaded till Thursday night for that week.

Don't take the taxi stand on the right. Take the exit on the front and cross the street. Beware of your valuables when moving around the station and just outside.

Book taxi ahead of time with sncf IDCab. They meet you at front of your train holding a sign with your name and walk you directly to car. Very efficient and reasonably priced to avoid the hassle

Could use a bit of a scrubbing, but it's well located in the City; easy to walk to good restaurants and transfers to taxis and the Metro are a breeze.

Although it's a well connected and very big station, sometimes the signalization could be improved enormously.

Nice place with lots of shops selling packed food for travelers. Good selection of shops selling various merchandise enough for the casual shoppers to wile away a few hours

The Mobilis is the Parisians travel card. Not advertised to tourists/visitors, but easily obtainable from the multilingual automatic ticket machines in any station. A lot cheaper than a "Paris Pass"

Easy to access, a bit overcrowded but then you are in Paris, some nice small cafes as Paul, Maison Pradier and Super Wild Coffee inside right near the platforms.

Not a lot of seating here, but the second floor bookstore section of Relay has very comfy armchairs if you can nab one, and a café. A few books in English too.

If you can't get wifi in the station (down most of the time), go across the street to Mc Donalds, where it's free, and which is also a safer place to wait at if you arrive late at night.

Not a cool place to hang out, especially at night. The station itself is impressive architecturally, but gets very messy and is confusing. Decent shopping area, but you won’t enter without the ticket.

Another nice looking train station, quite clean considering it is in the city. Only negative is the taxi, they don’t tell you the price until you are already in the car. Use Uber it will be cheaper.

If you're waiting for a TGV, look out for smartly dressed staff and ticket barriers, as they'll appear on the platform faster than the train appears on the departures board!

There are plans for a face-lift for 2024. Gare du Nord really needs it. This is a really depressing place to be. Very limited facilities and expensive. Bring your own food and drink for your trip!

Beware of scammers when purchasing train tickets from the machines. The security doesn't seem to be helping when being reported, they might be working together. Go to the ticket office when in doubt.
