- Emily WilsonDecember 31, 2016Excellent for brunch. I got the chorizo and egg breakfast tacos and loved them. Most importantly: pay close attention to the specials—we had Mexican chocolate babka that was soooo good.
- Kayleigh HarringtonDecember 6, 2016Try the "black bean dip" - it's actually white bean and squid ink! Come with friends and try a few different dishes. The entrance is easy to miss - it's behind the old Winnie's storefront.
- AmateurConciergeJanuary 2, 2017One of the best Mexican meals in the city: not ur typical dishes but everything was awesome and well priced. Green mole w veggies was a highlight, carnitas are wow but a bit too orangey
- Morgan McKeeMay 18, 2017Such an unassuming location with flavorful and creative food. Don't miss the black bean dip (colored with squid ink) and sharing carnitas is a must. For extra fun split a pitcher with a friend.
- Sabrina MajeedApril 22, 2017Everything here is good. Vegan caeser sounds basic but definitely worth. The baby steak seasoning is on point and the carnitas are super soft and saucy. Boquerones were fresh and crisp!
- Emily WilsonJanuary 9, 2017Vegan Caesar is easily the best thing on the dinner menu. Also great: green mole w/ feta & roasted veg and the "black bean" dip. Pro-tip: Ask for a pitcher of any cocktail (on menu or off).
- John XieDecember 8, 2016The carnitas here are the real deal. Tender chunks of pork with crisp skin intact, served with warm, homemade tortillas. Damn.
- Ranu RajkarnikarJanuary 27, 2017Solid new spot! Don't miss the black dip, roasted eggplant with mojama, lamb and coconut rice. Service was a bit slow but friendly. They ran out of dessert so I'll have to come back.
- Rewan PartiFebruary 2, 2017Get the carnitas, try the shishito peppers. They have a grilled vegetables in green mole sauce which is a vegetarian. A great selection of cocktails.
- Jordan MFebruary 9, 2017Never thought I'd say these words: peanuts + 🍓 (& shishito 🌶) to start, then share the green molé & carnitas. Wine list is 😏 - ask to taste first. The decor tho 💅🏻💅🏻💅🏻
- Julie AvraJanuary 11, 2018cool and cute space! Delicious roasted plantain and yummy $5 papas bravas. You could skip the vegan chicharron
- Foxxy BOctober 4, 2017Tamarindo (mildly sweet tequila based drink) is wonderfully drinkable, & the pompano fish dish is perfectly crisp & delicious! Good service, hip spot.
- everything is so good, just try as many things as you can! if the mexican chocolate babka is on the menu (at brunch), order it
- Delicious and creative food with amazingly fresh flavors. Every dish I’ve had with pork has been amazing. Great cocktails, too!
- Try the green molé, vegan Caesar and plantain cream pie. A very cool and friendly spot for a night out.
- Lee HoffmanMarch 7, 2017Skip the chicken, but the steak, shishitos, potatos bravos, green mole all amazing
- Sarah SpagnoloDecember 11, 2016The side meat is on point. Like a little flank steak ready to get in your mouth. Not a late night spot--yet.
- David MilbergJanuary 30, 2017If your looking for a god Mexican restaurant, this is your place! Highly recommend it.
- Honghui YuFebruary 5, 2017Great cocktails! Fun place to hang out but closes relatively early on weekend nights.
- Teddy KuMarch 30, 2017Got the mole, squid, and carnitas. Overall the food was good, mole was a little underwhelming though. Portions were also smaller than I expected, would probably need about 3 dishes per person.
- the carnitas are a must-have at dinner time, as are the papas bravas on the side
- Saif DiaNovember 27, 2016The pollo asado is similar to a Peruvian rotisserie chicken, but the sauce is on a higher level
- Michael G.November 5, 2017Didn’t love this place despite the high ratings. The most memorable thing about the food was how salty it was. I could have ordered wrong though - had the zucchini, lamb ribs, and pompano.
- Michael DempseyFebruary 22, 2017From the team behind El Rey. Small portions, good food, but wouldn't go for brunch.
- M TanDecember 15, 2018Awful service. Came in when it wasn't too crowded, tried to order. Gave up and left.
- Kiwi WangAugust 3, 2019Food tasty enough but portion size is absurd, even by NY standards. You can’t charge $25 for a steak in Chinatown, I don’t care how “hip” u are, & not even give a potato side. JUST sliced meat? Rude.
