Stick with the udon. I'm a fan of the curry katsu, thin & firm. The large gets you a bigger portion of noodles & it's the same price as regular. Best to make reservations as they tend to draw a crowd

Walls adorned with interwoven ropes, metal work, or denim panels - a truly artistic athletic that is a treat for the eyes. Generous udon portions - loved the Spicy Jengae Udon with a cracked egg 🍜 😍

So many udon, its so hard to choose! But with their Tsurutontan udon and wagyu shabu curry udon you can't go wrong. Be sure to try their water cake! It's very popular in Japan.

Fantastic Udon. Straight from Japan - I've been to the ones in Osaka and in Haneda airport and you can expect the same. Def. check out the cold variety. Service was great too.

Giant portions of really tasty udon! I had the sukiyaki udon - the flavor was complex and the noodles were the perfect texture. The large is big enough to share or to take half home.

We tried the snow crab and salmon sushi roll and the beef curry udon. Both were excellent. Definitely going to go back to try more stuff. Beware: the large udon bowl serving is huge.

Tsurutontan Deluxe w/ thick noodles & the tempura served on the side (so it stays crispy)!! The broth is my asian soul food ♥️

So tasty! Especially the cold uni udon and any of the warm dashi udon. The tuna tartare cone and kampachi is so good. A bit of a wait but you can grab drinks and appetizers at the bar while waiting.

Very good noodles! The thick noodles are heavenly. I went with sizzling sukiyaki and it was 🎯 Cocktails are also unique and tasty! Great spot for a union square dinner.

The Soondubu Jjigae Udon was delicious - just the right amount of spice, and extremely flavorful. Plus getting extra noodles for no extra cost is truly the cherry on top.

Authentic udon spot from Japan. Try the uni/caviar and spicy tuna cone apps. Namesake deluxe udon, katsu curry udon, of cold uni udon. So good.

Some modern fluff in the menu: US Wagyu doesn't mean much, udons don't go with crème. That aside, the traditional home style udons are great - sukiyaki or nabeyaki are my top two. Free extra noodles.

Stay with the clear broth and cold udon, those are the most authentic flavor. Also, visit this place during the happy hour you will be able to enjoy variety food in low price.

Excellent. recommend the spicy tan tan udon. two sizes available - reg and large. get the reg, it's huge and they bring extra noodles if you need. the non-udon items were meh!

Lots of giant bowls of piping hot Udon. An extensive menu featuring all sorts including curry, cream, cold and katsu. For those looking for something else, they have rice bowls and sushi too.

I was skeptical about cream-based udons at first, but consider me a convert. The Mentaiko Caviar Créme udon was amazing. (BTW, the large really isn't that large—ya might as well size up)

Perfect ambiance for a date before the party. Beer is served cold! 🍺 the hot and sour beef udon was great. The protein to noodle ratio is weak though. Many noodle places suffer from this.

Sizzling sukiyaki is the move. It's pure comfort food. Ask for a side of broth to cut its sweetness, and you're golden.

You can choose between a regular size or large size of odon for the same listed menu price. The large size has an extra helping of noodles.

The katsu don is really good as are the udon noodles. Just note they don't let you take food home! So come hungry because the portions are massive.

Good but not amazing. Had the uni and regular deluxe. Large portions are too much. Uni was heavy creamy and just a bit excessive while the deluxe was a bit water y. Udon noodles good!

I'm always skeptical of Union Sq spots but loved this place. Cool vibe and the handmade Udon noodles are fantastic. Price point is comparable to ramen joints in the city. My favorite was the Sukiyaki.

Comically large bowls serve just OK noodles & broths, particularly for $20+. Place is pretty big & has a sterile, businessy feel to it. Nice service.

Slightly seared salmon with ponzu, garlic chips, and roe. Worked well together and was tasty. At $16 though means very little value and not worth. 3/5

A more nightclubby version of Ootoya. Tried a traditional udon + other snacks and everything was good while well priced.
