Brought my friend from out of town for her first visit to the Blue Fin and she loved it. The food, staff, and attention to service was great. Their drink, the Blue Fin,is lovely.
Just had a fabulously healthy dinner. They offer a good selection of raw bar specially the oysters. There are many to choose from and everything is very fresh.
Softshell crab BLT is served with pretzel bread (a little grease can't break the sandwich) and waffles fries are presented in a shape of crab. Really well done with a little playful mind
Wait: a place in Times Square actually worth eating at AND it doesn't serve "Donkeysauce??" YES! Also: get the HamachiCrudo - it's a more noble "Flavortown" destination.
Pancakes are great, really light and fluffy. Portion sizes are filling but not ridiculous. Plenty of healthier options available too, such as avocado & poached eggs on toast!
The west side sushi roll is absolutely amazing. Get the wasabicream cheese on the side and dip it in there. Also, the sesame crusted tuna is awesome with the lo meinnoodles. Awesome atmosphere
For a restaurant in Times Square, you'd expect high prices and bad food. The prices are actually high, but the food is great! Try the spicy tuna, it's worth it.
Great breakfast. Defiantly ask about drink prices. A 2 oz pour of Bulliet rye cost me $15 but it's time square so what can you do. Scrambled eggs and bacon were Awsome.
Despite the gorgeous, aquatically refreshing decor, I was skeptical of Blue Fin's non-sushi items at first. But, it's weeks later and my mouth is still watering at the thought of the lobster roll!
It's great that they give you coffee or tea + a cocktail with all brunch meals. However, I wouldn't recommend getting the lobstershrimp roll...the fish doesn't taste fresh & is just mashed together.
Great spot for pre-theater brunch. Includes a complimentaryBellini or mimosa. Get the Maine lobstereggs Benedict -- really delicious and a great value at $17. Despite the location, not too touristy.
Emery is very hot and personable. J.P. is a pretty cool dude. Go upstairs and and relax. The molten chocolate lava cake wasn't too molten, so try another dessert.
The food has really gone down a little over the past few years. However, the wait staff is attentive and knowledgeable. It's exactly what you would expect from such a high turnover restaurant.
The blue fin salad was delicious. The service not so great. Had to flag down a server after 15 minutes and he never brought the bread or lemon he promised.
