- Jim RobertOctober 16, 2016Best ice cream anywhere. Always a line but they get your order ready promptly. It is definitely worth the wait. We live in Tennessee and have to get our Ted Drewes "fix" when we come to St. Louis.
- Riverfront TimesAugust 4, 2014Besides famous concretes, you can also order classic malts, shakes, sundaes, floats and ice-cream sodas. Ted Drewes has been serving up frozen goodness since the 1940s. Read moreUpvoted Mar 18
- This is as nostalgic as it gets, serving the best soft serve frozen custard around on historic Route 66 since 1929. My server defied gravity with this cookie dough concrete as well as my taste buds!
- Donald GJune 12, 2016Delicious frozen custard! Fave shake & sundae flavors: Cardinal Sin (tart cherries, hot fudge), Dutchman (chocolate, butterscotch, pecans), Turtle (hot fudge, caramel, pecans), and Abaco Mocha. 😋
- Brian StewartJune 24, 2016Everything is good here it's frozen custard! I had a concrete with cherry and chocolate chips ☺️ pure heaven in a cup😇! If you don't stop by it is your loss🙈😂😂😂😜
- Christina DobsonJune 18, 2018Tons of choices! Always great! The line situation is usually confusing but still very fast. I go for the classic cookie dough.
- The BEST! Great after Cards & Blues games. I've been here many times. Always friendly fast service no matter how long the lines. I recommend the Dutchman concrete! A MUST visit if you're in St. Louis
- First We FeastAugust 3, 2014There's only one flavor—classic vanilla—but you can order any number of mix-ins, from Oreos to butterscotch to cherry, to make a creation that suits your taste. Read more
- Frozen yogurt is always good but today we were here for a Christmas tree. Fair prices and a wonderful selection of trees
- Cardinal sin certainly is sinful...decadent incarnate. Also, lemon crumb is perfect for hot days. Good refreshing lemon flavor without being too tart or cloying.
- Everything is good. Lots of seasonal flavors available. My current favorites are the Blue Note (lemon crumb with blueberries) and the Great Pumpkin.
- Debbie WJuly 20, 2017The Heath Concrete was awesome. Just a mini is enough for a delicious dessert! Be prepared to wait in line; be patient it is worth it!❤️
- Krazy For PetsApril 2, 2012A must-visit place if you're in town. Bring your pooch out to socialize. A lick of yummy vanilla frozen custard will be such a good reward for well-behave dogs. Of course no chocolate for dogs
- Stacy Bo BacyNovember 12, 2019I prefer to keep it simple with one flavor and keep it small. Their custom mixes come in a larger size cup than I can handle.
- Matt WitthausAugust 25, 2014My favorite concretes are raspberry chip, peach tedad (scotch oatmeal cookies), and lemon crumb with blueberries. You can't go wrong at Ted Drewes.
- Cris RosadoJuly 15, 2013Amazing! Have to try the Hawaiian Concrete! You can also get orders to go with dry ice! Perfect to get one for the road!
- A St. Louis staple! You can’t go wrong with any concrete—they’ll serve it upside down.
- Chris M.August 28, 2011Always go for a concrete! Fruit flavors are real! Banana and Raspberry! Also, chocolate and candy flavors cure a serious sweet tooth. Add marshmallow for a fluffy kick to anything. Best Ice Cream ever
- Moonrise HotelJune 18, 2012Daunted by the line? Don’t worry - even if it looks packed, the Ted Drewes’ staff is quick. We promise, it’s worth the wait. For more insider tips, follow Moonrise Hotel on Twitter: bit.ly/moonriseTWUpvoted Feb 14

- Samir LJune 16, 2021A staple of STL is our frozen custard. You're either into this, or into Fritz's. Or you're a rare person who's open to either. ;)
- Always love the vibe here. Be prepared for a crowd quite often in the evening, but it moves fast. Find a trunk or bench to sit down on and enjoy the vibe
- Michael MorganNovember 2, 2020Seriously worth the hype! Old school frozen custard here. I ordered the lemon crumb concrete and was not disappointed. Cheap prices too. A St. Louis staple.
- Excellent custard, the kids size was perfect for ours. The small size seemed to be the perfect amount for adults.
- Riverfront TimesJune 13, 2013Order at the window. Flavors range from the standards (strawberry, chocolate) to more exotic offerings (pomegranate, lime). http://bit.ly/11JWTO3
- When it comes to frozen custard Ted Drewes is a staple of the St.louis community. The best advice I can give is yes the lines always look long but go quite fast. Which is a plus.
- Michael FlavinJune 6, 2015Whatever you visit St. Louis, you must go. And, if you live here, you probably go once a week in the summer!
- A St. Louis landmark. Grab a concrete or hot fudge sundae and people watch. On old Route 66 and a must see.
- Laura RoggApril 19, 2016Awesome frozen custard! Be prepared to park elsewhere and walk because it's super busy in the warmer months.
- Zach HedrickJune 12, 2019The original! Best frozen custard you’ll find in the entire state of Missouri! A tradition since 1929!
- A St. Louis staple that requires you to get a concrete. All the flavones are good. And don't despair, the line moves quickly.
- Samantha MaroltAugust 7, 2014The ice cream was very good and worth going to again and again! Very fast even though the line was long!
- Best frozen treat in the summer. Best Christmas trees during the holiday season. (and they'll even help you tie it to your car)

- Anne StegmannMay 17, 2014Anything here will be delicious. Today's treat was the "Brennan Blend". Mocha, macadamia nuts, and caramel. Yummy!
- Matt KarisJuly 3, 2015Ted Drewes is by far the best option in St. Louis as far as "ice cream" goes. I always bring my out of town friends.
- Don't let the crazy long lines scare you away! The employees move super fast, and a lot of the "crowd" is just people standing around talking and eating!
- EMCjoeJune 12, 2011Try the Chocolate Marshmallow Oreo Concrete - Mini is big from this StL institution! Mix you fav. frozen custard flavors and get a huge lift to your day. Love it!!
- They sell dry ice here for .80 a lb. Take a slab home and drop it in your bird bath then tell the kids to check out the ghost in the back yard.
- Cole KennedyMay 3, 2021Might be hard to focus when you get to the window, but you gotta keep it together. Focus. Try a Terremizzou.
- Sarah YarbroughJune 11, 2011The christy is the best! An iced brownie with ice cream and Carmel and hot fudge on top!! Yum!
- Fall = Great Pumpkin, Winter = Big Apple, Spring = Bunnycrete, Summer = Work your way down the menu until you've tried them all.
- Kenan BaysalMarch 31, 2013Christy became my favorite! Hot n cold at the same time along with a delicious brownie on the bottom!
