- Chris IoannouJune 4, 2018Nice big airport, well organized, and most importantly getting out of the immigration in not more than 15 minutes. Good job guys!
- If you are staying on a weekend, buy the SMT 3-day pass for $18 for unlimited rides on the Metro & 747 bus Friday-Sunday. One way ride on 747 cost $10, so the 3-day pass is a better deal !!!Upvoted 2 weeks ago
- Karl HobartSeptember 10, 2014Trudeau is a clean, easily accessible airport with free WiFi. You can save on taxi fares by traveling to the nearest Métro station.
- Dean CarpenterFebruary 4, 2018If you’re travelling to the USA, you pre-clear US immigration here! If you’re transiting through MTL to the USA, your checked bags will need to be cleared first before you can clear immigration.
- Leaving Montréal? Go near gate C79 and get yourself a bag or two of St-Viateur bagels at the bagel bar and distribute them to your friends at your destination. They'll thank you.
- Victor TootooFebruary 21, 2015Sushi past customs Sat the USA side is pretty good for be to box sushi. A nice chair/foot massage right next to the world's best coffee St Second Cup. (Okay I'm Canadian and based about the coffee)
- This place is perfect. I have seen a lot of airports and I'm not sure what people really want more. My vacation doesn't start here but when the plane lands.
- The new covered parking P4 is good, close to the airport and prices are better than the one in front of the departure/arrivals building. Shuttle bus every 10 minutes. Very good service.
- Food is now allowed! As long as 1)no liquid or gel 2)going to the US;all fruits and veggies need to originally come from the US 3)You declare it on your custom document. My sandwich passed no problem!
- Gregg PullanoJune 15, 2015Get ready for a LONG walk into customs if you're arriving from the U.S. If you're connecting to another flight, security is surprisingly quick for a large airport. Grab your Tim Hortons before hand!
- Shanté SmallsJanuary 11, 2015Free wifi, VERY comfy p/leather chairs, efficient border patrol (though Mexicans, Canadians, and Americans should be able to travel in N America borderlessly). Chill vibe.
- If you have an early flight, security opens at 4:00 so be there on time since lines to get trough are huge once they open ... And bring your snack all the outlets open at 5am!
- Alexis SmithMay 21, 2012MBco located by the check-in counter b4 you go through security is quite possibly some of the best airport food I've had. Moderately priced but delicious and nicely presented. Try chicken brie wrap.
- You can take the 747 bus to downtown for around $10. Look for the 747 signs past the taxi exits; you can buy a ticket at the machine there, using either cash or credit.
- Picking up? Short and long term parking in-terminal cost exactly the same per minute, but short term has a higher maximum. Your best bet is to park in Cellparc (for free) and wait for your party.
- The Timmy's is in the arrival area, so those departing passengers who want a Timmy before they fly, make sure you stop by the arrivals. Famous downtown Vasco de gama cafe has a branch in departures
- Diana ZuletaMay 31, 2015Best way to get into town: buy a public transport ticket (machines available at arrivals, close to exits) and take the 747 bus. Get off at the first stop, the Lionel Groulx metro station.
- The check-in counters were very helpful. I missed my flight but its great that they found a way for me to get the next flight. That's great service for you Air Canada!
- With Swiss you can have your bags shipped to your final destination when you take a train from Zurich. You will not have to pick them up in Zurich & go directly to the train. They will follow later.
- Totally the best airport in canada & maybe in north america , it is the second largest french speaking city in the world.. So they have a lots of flights between paris and montreal everyday
- Andie ChuDecember 5, 2019Lovely small international airport. I think it's almost the same size with Zhuhai Airport. The borders are using machines to check-in, which is super convenient.
- Zachary Adam CohenOctober 2, 2011the marriot hotel is right in the airport and is actually quite beautiful, free wifi in the bar, lots of light and places to hang about if you've got a delay or some time before catching a flight
- If your flight is delayed & you feel fancy, try the balnéa corner by gate C81 (US departures). The chair massages will keep your spirits up.
- If you arrive early enough in the multi-level parking, you can get some very close parking spots on the top floor!
- Embarassingly small airport considering the size of the city and the presence of the IATA world HQ, but at least it's classy and cozy (except the baggage pickup area)
- Paul EberlingNovember 20, 2016QDC Burger near Gate 50. Best mushroom Swiss burger I have had in a while. Get it with fried onions!!
- Jake RedmanSeptember 11, 2015The Montreal National Bank World Mastercard Lounge is a decent spot to grab a snack and kill time pre-flight Try the soup!
- Ivan FrantarMay 10, 2012Two awesome things: free wifi in the airport & the 747 express bus that for 8 CAD you do Airport to Lionel-Groulx Metro Station and vice-versa.

- Ska TtiNovember 6, 2023Airport Codes beginning with Y were reserved for Canada and, the remaining two letters – U and L – correspond to the frequency emitted by the radio beacon in Kirkland, near Dorval. You’re welcome ;)
- Frederik VerleyeOctober 6, 2015If you have a long layover: usually there is one terminal that's very quiet, so walk around and get some rest
- WeaselOctober 30, 2012Tatami sushi bar is now on the other side of the international gates. If you're flying @westjet pick up your food at gates 1-15 before you come over this way. Only option here now is Second Cup.
- Get there early, as you have to pass through US immigration here rather than at the other end. That line alone can easily take 45 minutes.
- Yvan GuerardAugust 17, 2014Get there early if you have to go through US Customs. Some days you just flow through and days like today it is just a nightmare!
- New self scan machine really speeds up customs but leads to a huge build up leaving baggage claim. Pack light and take only carry ons. 747 express bus is inexpensive $8 or free depending on Opus card
- A smaller airport with a big traffic yet its usually easy to navigate. Fly safe and hydrate!
- Natalia BonkaFebruary 16, 2015An Uber RestoBar is beautiful. @Gate 53. Nice latin music sets up the mood prior to my flight to Cozumel! Although air here smells gas and pollution from outside. Bad air-conditioning.
- FrankJuly 25, 2014I think YUL has the most comfy chairs compared to other airports. Definitely look for the few reclined chairs scattered around.
- Carol SerroulApril 28, 2013If you are flying to the United States from a connecting flight in Canada, look for the connections line in customs. The signs for it are easy to miss and the wait is much shorter.
- James H.August 29, 2019Very easy check in we polite staff. The maple leaf lounge was quiet and fine. Food was ok. Nice change from flying out of ewr or jfk.
- Think to add 30 mins to your regular planning prior YUL arrival. Lots of road construction in the surroundings!!
- JD MaloneSeptember 10, 2017Free WiFi which you will need because everything is busy unless you come at an off time.
- If your staying at a hotel, I highly recommend using the 747 Shuttle Bus Service from the airport. It's only $8 and much cheaper than a cab.
- Only one bar once you're past US customs so drink up before you go through!
