- The Silver Diner by the Southwest A gates has great food - I love their vegetarian omelette and milkshakes; - but the food takes awhile. Worth it, though. If I have time, I always have a meal here.Upvoted 1 day ago

- Sam SankovichNovember 3, 2014Had not had breakfast or lunch before I arrived & had about a 1.5 hour layover. The food offerings are great & they provide terrific seating areas. Was very nice not having to eat in the terminal.Upvoted Mar 21
- Take a picture of your parking space # so you can find your car when you return. And, when you pay inside for parking - you need the receipt AND the ticket when you get to the ticket taker booth ;-)
- Sometimes it doesn't matter if you are TSA Precheck here. They don't do the best job managing traffic in the normal lines, and just open the Precheck lane to anyone, negating the purpose.
- BWI offers a nice range of airlines, convenient access to mass transit, and plenty of parking and rental cars.
- Time before or between flight? Check out Roam Fitness post security terminal D/E for a workout! If you don’t have workout apparel/shoes you can rent. Awesome concept which more airports should adopt.

- Sandy LuckertFebruary 25, 2015Vino Volo - great food, even better wine., unexpectedly well priced for an airport. Best place to relax and eat at BWI. Near Gates A6-A11
- A, B, & C all connect. Find the fastest security section and walk the 100 or so feet. Super time saver!
- Great food all over the airport. Cool shops too. It's good to get here early so you time to enjoy a bite to eat or to hit the stores.
- LOVE the wooden rocking chairs everywhere! Take a break, sit back, and recline! Enjoy that layover between flights.
- Mike ShyavitzNovember 27, 2013If you're flying southwest, security point C is usually the shortest line but a little out of the way. Double check when you check in to make sure.
- This airport is the best on the East Coast. It has food, quality of service, ease of movement, and higher end bathrooms than you would expect. Proud to call MD home, and BWI my airport of choice
- Use lower level security check area if flying Southwest (and other gate B carriers)! The lines there are short to nonexistent - great if you're running late :)
- Try the Mango Vegetarian Stir Fry at the Silver Diner. MMM! :)
- Southwest gates are the best with easy access to lots of food and drink. Head to upper epartures) to use ridesharing services.

- Your good as long as you fly Southwest. Good luck with all other airlines. Baggage claim here is the slowest in America. Use FastPark for off-site parking. They are the best.
- Gregory MorrisFebruary 20, 2015Annoying that Southwest Airlines is located on the complete opposite end of the airport from the light rail stop; walk of a mile +. Parking available for $8 a day;, worth considering vs taxi
- This airport is great for the easiest connection to Amtrak's Acela Express service and their Regional NorthEast Corridor Service that goes to DC , Philadelphia, New York, Boston, Hartford and others
- BWI is a clean, efficient airport that, pun intended, flies under the radar. If you are headed to DC it's an alternative to IAD. A little bit farther away, but a better option than DCA.
- One of my favorite airports. Well designed. Nice food court or restaurants. A good selection of shops for an airport this size.
- Great airport. TSA PRE CHECK officers are the friendliest around. BEWARE when going to and from the airport. The officers really like I-195 and speeders.
- Great lounge in JetBlue terminal (Terminal D). Tough to find - keep walking past Green Turtle and the unassuming door is just after Dunkin. Platinum AMEX gets you in for free.
- Great airport with free wifi, plenty of charging stations and extensive food court.
- The Burger Joint in Conc. B...good burger, made fresh to order, but be prepared to wait. I ordered a burger and it took 20 min! A med rare burger at that! Hello! It shouldn't take as long to cook!

- Adrienne HartFebruary 21, 2013The chipotle in concourse A will run out of everything as soon as you get there... Especially if its around 3pm... But it's not a long wait to restock and the food is great!
- Be aware that the shuttle to and from the Rental Car Facility is quite slow as they need to pack it full in both directions. Plan for this to add an extra 30 minutes!
- TSA-pre check line closes at any time. So if u have TSA Pre-check then don't be sure that u will make it quickly thru the security. And yes they make u remove the laptops.
- Sweet Jeezus in Terminal C is awesome and decadent soft served ice cream with crazy toppings! DELISH!! 😋😋😋

- There are Clif Bars in one of the vending machines between the light rail stop and baggage claim. They are $3 but a convenient alternative. :)
- Jamie SamplesJanuary 20, 2014Lots of charging stations. Very driest staff in southwest terminal and lots of great food options within walking distance of all gates!
