- For a great & cheap Southern meal or all day breakfast, stop by Bojangles at the end of Concourse B. Great biscuits, fried chicken, dirty rice and sweet tea! Sweet tea up on the rocking chairs b/w B&CUpvoted 2 days ago
- If you are looking for a place to grab some quick zZzZ's check out the flat benches by the window in B8, all other benches have arms so you can't sprawl out but these two blue benches are hidden gems!Upvoted 2 days ago

- SamsoniteMay 3, 2011If you have a long layover, take a peek at Charlotte-Douglas' public viewing spot. Watch planes take off, land, and taxi to/from the runway at one of the best airport views in the U.S.
- Lovely open atrium, plus they have rocking chairs and a wide selection of restaurants and shops to make your layover less stressful.
- ES VormAugust 16, 2013Free wifi, AWESOME food, white rocking chairs throughout, plentiful windows and vistas; it is an excellent and charming airport. I go out of my way to come here, and enjoy any layover I get.
- This is the cleanest and nicest airport I have been to! There are white rocking chairs everywhere to relax in aka the best part.
- Term E can get very crowded, CLT still has that southern charm for which it became famous. Live pianist between B & C most days or live music at Whiskey River in E make it a great place for a layover

- Lian TNovember 7, 2014Cheapest bottled water/pop/Gatorade in concourse C is at News2You. Seriously bottles of water are a dollar cheaper than stores in the main shopping area.
- Executive Shoe Shine near Starbucks is the best of any airport or anywhere I've seen. They use a butane torch in one of the like 10 phases to melt the polish.
- Kye BrackettJanuary 13, 2014One of my favorite airports for layovers and such. They've got what I call The Huge Hall of Rocking Chairs which is Sooo relaxing, and a great place for people watching.
- If you are in terminal B looking for tasty food at a decent price. Go to Bojangle's famous fried chicken and biscuits. Dirty rice as a side is yummy.
- If you use the curbside valet and are TSA Pre Approved you can pull up to the airport and be at your gate in 10 minutes or less. You gota love that!
- Um, the best airport ever? You literally can’t get bored. My go-to spot is the tequileria! Get the taco salad with pulled pork. Amazing!
- Ami H.July 19, 2016Simply by its designation (CLT), it rates high on my favorite airports. Also, it has Bojangles Fried Chicken and an overall nice selection of food outlets. Needs more charger plugs at Gate B tho, imo.
- Well been to this airport in many iterations: 70' - tiny old, 80's they discovered the jetway, 90' - air conditioning and walk ways, 2000 - rocking chairs, 2020 - wide open spaces and miles of walking
- One of the best airports in the US. It's huge, but easy to navigate if you pay attention. Great shopping over long layovers, or just chill in one of the quaint rocking chairs throughout the airport.
- Laura MartinApril 18, 2014FREE WiFI. Love the rocking chairs and live piano music in atrium. Lots of places to plug in if you look around. Seems like some of the moving sidewalks are always broken.
- Head over to main Atrium between Concourse B and C to listen to live pianist. They are usually there in the evenings and sometimes during the day.
- Ligia PDecember 14, 2014The main concourse is a paradise compared to the four gate areas. Grab some decent sushi there and rock the white chairs while you watch the mini vintage planes go round hanging above the sushi place
- Checkout the cool center food court/ shops. The clock tower with rotating gyros of planes is pretty cool!

- Hit Bojangles, Terminal B for some good fried chicken. Get a dinner w mash & get some hot sauce & grape jelly for ur biscuit, on the biscuit put some chicken, mash, hot sauce & jelly and enjoy!!
- Jake SmithAugust 7, 2014Long layover? Chill out at the First in Flight bar, while enjoying the live pianist and the interesting mobile/sculpture above your seat. There are power outlets under the bar!
- The curbside valet is a great service; I wouldn't have made my outbound flight otherwise! Plus my car was waiting for me after texting my claim ticket number from the gate. Worth the $$$ in a pinch!
- Clifford RyanJuly 22, 2013Sprinter to downtown leaves every 20 minutes, gets to the Downtown Transit Center in about 20 minutes & costs $2 each way (2013). Helpful drivers will direct you to transfers for your hotel downtown.
- If you're here for a long time, go down to Concourse E, there's a nicer, less crowded area w/rocking chairs & tables & wall sockets & Einstein's bagels.

- Layover times are always short and the airport is very big. Be speedy or you will miss your flight. Also, delays are a regular occurrence here. Otherwise, it's a nice, busy airport.
- Ashley CrossMarch 29, 2014There are many moving sidewalks which make navigating this expansive airport a little challenging. The rocking chairs are a unique southern touch. Also plenty of shopping!

- If you ever get the chance to go to Einsteins Bagel on the E concourse it's a little walk from the main atrium but there breakfast/lunch/dinner are amazing!
- Mindy ZhangNovember 30, 2018Priority Lounge (Minute Suites) is @ The Atrium. They offer private suites (rsvp needed) instead of snacks & drinks. Plenty of food & drinks avail at the atrium anyway. Starbucks is also everywhere!!
- This is my home airport and I'm here almost every week. I finally tried First In Flight sushi and I was impressed. A great on the go alternative meal.
- Jaynine HowardNovember 6, 2010If you are a Military Veteran be sure and visit the USO. The bathrooms are clean and stocked w/mouth wash, toothpaste etc. There is plenty of yummy food too. Plus, comfy recliners, tv and computers.
- Neil in the terminal E bar is the best. If you have a layover, go there. Best bar in any airport I've been to.
- A great place to get wifi, power, a stool and a bar to work on is the Cinnabon by Gate E3/4. next to the soda case.Buy something if you will sit here, don't be a freeloader.
- Customer service all over this airport has always been superb! Darrell took great care to get me from concourse A to C with last minute change in his cart. Been delayed here a lot always leave happy.
- Rocking chairs and wifi, oh my! This is a great airport to relax in, just don't get so chill you miss your connecting flight!
- During the pandemic, couldn’t have the airports upgraded!?? Put in lots of stands with plugs etc for recharging. Make the airports more traveler friendly!! Driving for two days was better.
- Starbucks and other food choices in new Terminal A. No need to wait in long lines at Starbucks, Chic Fil A, etc in Main Concourse.
- If your in the A terminal you must go to Noda’s. Great beer and Service. You might even see Tony there!!!Upvoted Feb 28
- Jack TripperSeptember 17, 2021GARBAGE AIRPORT! It’s always HOT, and nothing opens early! Good luck finding coffee if you’re traveling early.
- What an easy airport to navigate. Food stops everywhere, and free wifi throughout the entire airport....great job Charlotte!
