Small portions but everything is prepared and plated so beautifully. Potato and trout croquette is delicious, as is the freshly made silken tofu. Try the yakitoris and mochi dessert!

Fun (and smoky!) vibe. Gyoza, udon carbonara, and tsukune were all good. Skip the panna cotta- good flavor, but really stiff texture.

Very authentic - brought me back to yakitori in Japan. Order Maguro No Yukke rice bowl (add Uni), karaage, chiizu Katsu and any/all yakitori! Yum yum

Grab dinner at Rintaro tonight. This new spot will feature a changing menu dedicated to vegetables, fried dishes and grilled chicken (including a yakitori chef’s choice for $15.50) for now. Read more

One of the best meals I've had in San Francisco. Period. Delicious skewers, and a great shochu selection. It's pricy, but well-worth it. The croquettes were great too, as well as the shabu.

Rintaro's gyoza aren't always on the menu, but when they are, make sure you order the Berkshire pork-filled, lattice-surrounded dumplings. Read more

Everything is amazing. The GizZard is phenomenal. The udon carbonara is out of this world. I never knew something so simple be so good.

You will feel transported in Kyoto. Try their Katsu with melted cheese in the middle and their Udon Carbonara. Everything else is amazing.

The portions are perfect! Not huge American ones that leave you stuffed with tons of leftovers; but Japanese portions that leave you satisfied and still able to move. Everything is delicious!

Be sure to get the korokke: break open the exquisitely flaky and non-greasy panko coating (made from fresh Acme pain de mie) to reveal a creamy, fluffy, and lightly curried kabocha squash interior.

Eat everything fried. Yakitori and udon were also a standout. Would avoid the steamed fish... And get the pancake from the courtyard vendor!

We had so many things, delicious, a bit expensive, but worth it. Did not love the "carbonara" ones. The chicken wings, amazing!

Their seafood sourcing is exquisite, shining in pristine dishes like the hirame no kombujime ($13.50), expertly cut sashimi of kombu-cured California halibut with the zip of fresh wasabi.

Poorly thought out covid service, a lot of awkwardness with picking up and getting rid of food/drinks, everything was plated cute but not functionally so it falls everywhere, seats are milk crates :(
