- The Corcoran GroupJuly 25, 2014You MUST start your meal off with the roast beef sandwich (whether you intend to share it or not), followed by the incredible bucatini. If you're feeling adventurous, order the fiore di carciofi.
- Sarah SheldonMay 29, 2016The breakfast spaghetti is like a carbonara with kale aka heaven. They have frozen negroni which is perfect for a cold day. Beware - the Bloody Mary has grappa in it. A bit aggressive.
- Jenna Odett LaskinJanuary 1, 2016Love this place for great apps/pasta. Don't miss apps: ricotta bruschetta, rice balls, stuffed meatballs. Skip the calamari. Don't miss pastas: garganelli, tagliatelle, fiore de carciofi. Panna cotta.
- CatherineDecember 12, 2016My boyfriend brought me here this past weekend for a birthday dinner and it was perfect! The ambiance was great - servers were pleasant and attentive, good drinks and even better food! Try the Frose!
- Belle HuangMarch 5, 2015Lively atmosphere, great spot to catch up with a friend over small plates. Get the squid ink campanelle and short rib raviolini. The burrata is fresh and creamy. Split a bottle of wine and enjoy!
- Laura WongMay 18, 2021Huge fan of this restaurant. Portions are perfect and everything on the menu looks delicious. Ricotta toast is pictured and 10/10 recommend, whipped ricotta is so light and airy.
- Jacqueline SheaNovember 13, 2014Carciofi. Enough said. It's mouthwatering, creamy, and the perfect balance of artichoke and a light, creamy sauce. Another must- have is the eggplant bruschetta. Trendy yet homey ambiance-- loved it
- DensJune 11, 2014Clams Casino pasta = it's like Jesus himself dreamed up this dish just for me. (pastas are perfect size to split 3 with 2 people btw)
- LOVE this place. Great vibe - try to be seated upstairs although I see they've just added outdoor space. The branzino with olive muffalato is great. As is the tiramisu and the affogato.
- Wilson ZhouDecember 15, 2014This restaurant is my new favorite in NoHo and they are innovative. This is Italian Benedict made of special tomato sauce unlike tradition egg Benedict made of hollandaise sauce.
- Bitches Who BrunchFebruary 3, 2016The Bitches say: A. I don’t find Italian brunches particularly exciting, but Bar Primi delivered an original, delicious and very filling meal that was perfect for our large group. Read more
- Tough to snag a table but super easy to sit at the bar. I recommend: burrata bruschetta, stuffed meatballs, tagliolini. The pastas+apps are much bigger than you'd expect so no need to order entrees!
- JeffreyJuly 20, 2014A nice hot bowl of Puglian-inspired orecchiette or a take on Rome’s amatriciana, swapping house-cured lamb bellies for the guanciale. Or with a crunchy antipasti salad or Fontina-stuffed meatballs
- Andrew PerezAugust 4, 2016I came here for frozé but the real winner was the ricotta bruschetta! Super good if you like truffle and honey. Could have been my entire meal!
- Wilson ZhouAugust 8, 2014Sal Lamboglia's newest seasonal dessert combines the flavors of sangria and housemade Fior di Latte gelato with the country's top peaches. Frog Hollow Peaches
- FionaOctober 3, 2014I thoroughly enjoyed dinner here tonight; the squid ink and crab pasta was perfect. God blessed Sal Lamboglia with hella good looks and an even better pasta menu. Can't wait to return!
- Zayed KhanJanuary 24, 2015The fiore di carciofi is one of the better and more unique pasta dishes in the city. A beautifully sculpted coiled presentation, it has an unexpectedly pronounced tartness that really grows on you.
- Honghui YuJune 7, 2018They serve up a delicious brunch pasta here that’s one of my favorites in the city. Other pastas on the menu are good too but none are quite a standout.
- AmateurConciergeAugust 4, 2015Bar Primi seems to have hit its stride. All dishes are crowd pleasers. Loved the crab and corn seasonal pastas. Ricotta fig toast was light and delicious.
- SparkieAugust 29, 2014Pasta is the focus. Chef Sal Lamboglia serves a "breakfast spaghetti" (topped with an egg) alongside more classic pastas, plus pine nut crusted french toast and a potato fritatta
- Andrea BarrezuetaMarch 22, 2015Nice spot for a civilized brunch and very kid friendly. The ricotta toast was great. I had the bolognese pasta and it was very good. Perfect portions too.
- Justin OrdovezaFebruary 11, 2017The tiramisu is moist and has a prominent chocolate flavor. It's perfect for one. There is an upstairs eating area.
- Chelsey LOctober 25, 2014Bathroom grade: B+ ... Clean, well maintained and various offerings of Maelin +Goetz handwash. Overall, a clean transition to "take care of business"
- Cyndia WanFebruary 9, 2018The meat ball and the rice ball is the best!!! Pastas are great too, but the meat ball and the rice ball is the most impressive one!!!
- Rana RouhanaAugust 8, 2014campanelle pasta is crustiness heaven + fiore di carciofi is tangy and yummy, the antipasti and desserts are super good too! the negatives: such a loud place + the pestering waiters are a bit too much
- One of the few places I keep going back to. The food is flavoursome, service is excellent and the space is very comfortable. Gluten-free pasta dishes are A-grade.
- Always a solid spot for brunch. Get the breakfast spaghetti, funghi scramble, pancakes, and ricotta crostino!
- Erin VillaniDecember 24, 2014Fiore de cafitori was delicious but the service was absolutely terrible. There are plenty of other Carmellini restaurants in the city where you can go and have a more enjoyable experience! #thedutch
- Nicole FormicaJanuary 25, 2017Be sure to start with the ricotta toast with truffle honey. The linguini topped with breadcrumbs and garlic is A+.
- Allie PNovember 29, 2014Great small plates. I recommend the rice balls or stuffed meatballs for an appetizer. Really enjoyed the cavatelli!
- SiovonneNovember 10, 2014I love this place! The dishes were amazing. Loved the atmosphere. Great service and great space for a large group!
- Wilson ZhouApril 12, 2016Meaty mains are regulated to nightly specials only, like the succulent Thursday night lamb chops, instead spotlighting that feast-starting first act (primi piatti). And rightly so. -TimeOut
- Lucille FisherMay 30, 2016In the mood for Italian? This hits the spot. Good pastas, portions are big though, best to share.
- Jacob FordDecember 3, 2018The Bensonhurst is a straight up cool burger of overflowing prosciutto and creamy mozz. Do it.
- Gunnar AasenApril 26, 2015Great place for brunch or dinner with a group of 4-6 people. I recommend the garlic pasta, but all of the pasta dishes are tasty.
- Lee HoffmanJune 28, 2016The burrata with honey is insane. The meatballs, roast beef sandwich and pastas are terrific.
- Seline JungOctober 13, 2016Yeah you can get a bowl of pasta for much cheaper literally anywhere else but it is going to be delicious and authentic at Bar Primi.
- TK 🍦🍷February 16, 2015Casual setting with fancy prices. Mostly worth it to eat an Andrew Carmellini menu. The four-cheese pasta with candied walnuts is amazing!
- Kayleigh HarringtonJuly 15, 2016Expected to be more blown away by the pasta considering the price point. The stuffed meatballs, watermelon caprese and the spinach cavatelli were good but not exciting enough to come back for.
- Frani LiebermanSeptember 16, 2014perfect plates of mouthy, toothsome pastas (spinach cavatelli!!) and yummy, substantial starters and a peach dessert with the most peachy peaches
- Zayed KhanJanuary 24, 2015Great service. Our server, Melissa was friendly, sprightly, and never missed a beat with our refills, or with showing up just when we wanted.
- Alexis BendjouiaJune 8, 2015Ricotta bruschetta epic. Great spot. Reasonable prices. Strongly recommend. Pesto pasta was epic too.
- Trae FJanuary 22, 2017Amazing food. The stuffed meatballs, spaghetti with clams, and the squid ink pasta were all excellent. Great spot!
- Yera HaDecember 23, 2014The strozzapreti was chewy, tender, and savory. Paired perfectly with a glass (or 3) of red! Beautiful spot that won't break the bank.
- Polina WeitzSeptember 17, 2021Nice Modern Italian Restaurant. The Burrata and the bucatini cacio e pepe spinaci were delicious. Also, great outdoor seating.
- Sajid MehmoodAugust 6, 2014The pasta portions here are a bit on the small side, so 1 appetizer (the bruschettas are great) and 1 pasta per person is perfect.
