The Brew NoobAugust 10, 2015On the eastern corner of Whole Foods is a separate beer shop, with a large selection of import and craft beer. BYO growler to bring local draft beer back home, or just pick up a sixer of your choice.
Pro tip: get a half salad on the second floor. Huge, fresh, tasty and wildly inexpensive. I'd venture to say its the best salad value in the city!

The Bowery burger is such a deal!! $5 for a vegan veggie burger with ALL the fixings...the bun is reminiscent of BK or McDs but healthier. Carrnivores can get grassfed beef burgers for same price!

The setup of the store is rather winding and not too intuitive. As with all Whole Foods, everyone who works there is great!
Good for stonefruit. Pretty good cheese selection. Charcuterie is comparatively weak. Lots and lots of different beers.
The grind-your-own nut butters are amazing. Whole Foods, making the pb&j bougie.

Emiliano ViscarraSeptember 15, 2017I just noticed that they got rid of the dedicated beer section (I think this happened a few months ago) to replace it with a coffee shop. They still have a big selection but no growlers anymore.
If you're upstairs for lunch/dinner, as glamorous as the sushi conveyer belt looks, I'd skip it. Salad or pasta is the way to go!

James MarshallOctober 21, 2015At it's most crowded, it's a nightmare. But love the upstairs food court. Prepared foods always excellent. I'm hoping they no longer cheat on their scales.
They always have super delicious blackberries—and they're cheaper than at Key Food!
Don't go during commuting hours as the lines get VERY long! Also, if you have more than 10 items in the 10 items or less line, you will get yelled at.
HankDecember 19, 2010The beer selection is OMG amazing! One of the only places in the city that has St Bernadus Christmas Ale. If you like dark Belgian style beer, you will love it!

Try the fresh salad pizza with mango salsa for sauce at the pizza counter downstairs! Delicious!

The beer shop has a huge selection of craft beer and some home brewing supplies. Seriously, who buys PBR when some of the best beer in the world is right next to it?
Timothy YuanOctober 2, 2015Somewhat surprisingly, Whole Foods is actually one of the cheaper grocery stores in the city (just avoid the $4 water)
Even if you only have a few items, the lanes for 12 items or more are almost always faster (except peaks times on weekends).
Gelato on the lower level really does it in a pinch. Chocolate coconut almond/ salted caramel are both recommended.

If you like Kombucha this whole foods has kombucha on tap upstairs. You can buy a re-useable growler and get it refilled here. Much cheaper than by the bottle.
When you buy by the case, there is usually a 10% Discount. Ask them to scan the item individually if you aren't sure.
Typical whole foods but way better than 14th street. Love the "hanging" area upstairs.
check what they have on their weekly sales flyer! usually some good stuff. everyday staples - chicken stock, organic milk are surprisingly cheap
