French Toast = sweet breakfast heaven. Super-thick slices of brioche w a crispy exterior & a luscious, custardy, bread-pudding-ish interior. Bonus: it's in a pool of delicious caramel sauce + bananas.

The avocado toast is the most unique, topped with beet hummus, avocado, cured yolk, pea shoots. You can also get a poached egg added. Served with a side salad. A great start to day. I ❤️Penelope!

Go with a friend during lunch. Get the three cheese grilled cheese and a BBLT. Now split. Amazing right? Best of both worlds and the bread they use is delicious. Fries are forgettable though...

The pumpkin waffles are outstanding. I could eat the cinnamon sugar butter by itself. It's crazy busy for breakfast/brunch even on a random Monday morning but it's worth the wait.

The chorizo egg sandwich and Nutella french toast are fantastic! Just be prepared to wait to be seated, it's almost always very crowded

One of my favorites. The well planned menu caters to a variety of palettes and has a dish for every meal. Skip the brunch lines and grab a late weeknight dinner! (4 of 4 petals via Fondu) Read more

Long establishment brunch spot that churns out hearty breakfast and lunch options in a cozy location. Great fresh pancakes, omlettes and french toast. Also, the coffee and cocktails are phenomenal

I'm a mac n cheese afficionado, and this was hands down the best I've had. Truffle and peas with the smoothest, creamiest cheesy sauce. Do yourself a favour!

Delish, got veggie met Sally salad, big portion! Cute small place, can have long waits for weekend brunch, but we had no issues on Friday evening for dinner

Probably the best french toasts I’ve ever had. Small waiting area inside for cold winter. Downside: if you order a 3rd plate, they still charge you full price (which include drinks they won’t bring).

If you prefer a shorter wait, skip the line and dine here on a weekday evening. The salmon burger is particularly good, made with a fresh salmon patty sandwiched between two fluffy brioche buns. Read more

Decadent brunch items like Nutella French toast and apple cider mimosas. Service & bottomless coffee are great, but they get really busy so the wait to nosh can be an hour or more with no reservations

Great breakfasts, cupcakes, and salads in quaint New England setting. Its arrival in Murray Hill nearly a decade ago launched a food renaissance in the neighborhood. Arrive at opening to avoid crowd.

Penelope is delicious, certainly. But for a just-as-yummy-if-not-better brunch/lunch/dinner/anytime spot, head one block west to Resto. No wait! Lots of seating! Friendly staff!

If you don't like waiting 30+ minutes for a table at brunch, try Penelope for dinner! Menu items are great and it's rarely crowded. When Veggie Met Sally is my go-to.

The wait time is horrendous but well worth it. Both the BBLT & Nutella French toast (not as excessively sweet as you'd imagine) are excellent entrees to split with a friend. Now accepts credit cards.
