- RisaOctober 27, 2013French Toast = sweet breakfast heaven. Super-thick slices of brioche w a crispy exterior & a luscious, custardy, bread-pudding-ish interior. Bonus: it's in a pool of delicious caramel sauce + bananas.
- Penny GerberMay 17, 2018The avocado toast is the most unique, topped with beet hummus, avocado, cured yolk, pea shoots. You can also get a poached egg added. Served with a side salad. A great start to day. I ❤️Penelope!
- Tony XerriDecember 11, 2012Go with a friend during lunch. Get the three cheese grilled cheese and a BBLT. Now split. Amazing right? Best of both worlds and the bread they use is delicious. Fries are forgettable though...
- Michelle COctober 29, 2016The pumpkin waffles are outstanding. I could eat the cinnamon sugar butter by itself. It's crazy busy for breakfast/brunch even on a random Monday morning but it's worth the wait.
- Joe KileyMarch 11, 2017The chorizo egg sandwich and Nutella french toast are fantastic! Just be prepared to wait to be seated, it's almost always very crowded
- One of my favorites. The well planned menu caters to a variety of palettes and has a dish for every meal. Skip the brunch lines and grab a late weeknight dinner! (4 of 4 petals via Fondu) Read more
- ℳ𝒶𝓎♍December 12, 2021Long establishment brunch spot that churns out hearty breakfast and lunch options in a cozy location. Great fresh pancakes, omlettes and french toast. Also, the coffee and cocktails are phenomenal
- Morgan Von SteenDecember 11, 2013Forget the brunch rush at this friendly neighborhood spot and go straight for the main attraction: a creamy, dreamy, chicken pot pie of your very own. - Buzzfeed
- Emma B-BrownSeptember 8, 2016I'm a mac n cheese afficionado, and this was hands down the best I've had. Truffle and peas with the smoothest, creamiest cheesy sauce. Do yourself a favour!
- Christina ChinFebruary 5, 2017Delish, got veggie met Sally salad, big portion! Cute small place, can have long waits for weekend brunch, but we had no issues on Friday evening for dinner
- Thomas GravinaJanuary 7, 2018Probably the best french toasts I’ve ever had. Small waiting area inside for cold winter. Downside: if you order a 3rd plate, they still charge you full price (which include drinks they won’t bring).
- Leia PFebruary 19, 2016Decadent brunch items like Nutella French toast and apple cider mimosas. Service & bottomless coffee are great, but they get really busy so the wait to nosh can be an hour or more with no reservations
- Great breakfasts, cupcakes, and salads in quaint New England setting. Its arrival in Murray Hill nearly a decade ago launched a food renaissance in the neighborhood. Arrive at opening to avoid crowd.
- AmiraMay 12, 2013Every time i visit NYC i try 2 have breakfast or brunch here but i cnt becoz of the 2 and 40 minute hours waiting but finally today i had my lunch there and it was GREAT. Next time brunch or breakfast

- İclal KireçNovember 14, 2017Good food! But you have to wait long time to get a seat! Especially on Sundays you should make a reservation before you go.
- Deji SakaMarch 9, 2015The chorizo egg sandwich is amazingly good!!! Do it with the croissant. Definitely hit the spot and more!!! Also, the service is extremely attentive!!!!
- Q RobersonMay 15, 2013After reading the tips, I had to try the Penny egg sandwich (w/ chicken apple sausage). The eggs were cooked perfectly and it was delish! With strong coffee & great service at the bar, I'll be back!
- Naomi PierceyNovember 7, 2014Penelope is delicious, certainly. But for a just-as-yummy-if-not-better brunch/lunch/dinner/anytime spot, head one block west to Resto. No wait! Lots of seating! Friendly staff!
- If you don't like waiting 30+ minutes for a table at brunch, try Penelope for dinner! Menu items are great and it's rarely crowded. When Veggie Met Sally is my go-to.
- JaneMarch 3, 2013The wait time is horrendous but well worth it. Both the BBLT & Nutella French toast (not as excessively sweet as you'd imagine) are excellent entrees to split with a friend. Now accepts credit cards.
- Shabna ZaheerSeptember 5, 2018French toast was incredible. Had to wait around half an hour on labor day at 11am which isn't too bad! Amazing service too

- James ClarkJune 23, 2013Don't plan on getting seated or served quickly, at least not for Sat Brunch, but the menu is wonderful, the food amazing, the staff helpful, and the mimosas come with a heavy handed pour :-)

- Ro JJanuary 22, 2016Their regular lunch menu is quite pricey. Their chicken pot pie was absolute perfection but also cost $19. Loved their service and their cute vintage-y decor!

- ReALTOMay 12, 2013No reservations here and as everything in manhattan it gets really busy!! Plan to put your name down and give them your number so you can leave and they will text you when you're tables ready.
- Serious EatsJune 5, 2013A cute, cozy neighborhood restaurant with some choice breakfast and brunch but a hit or miss dinner menu.
- Ayesha LattoJune 9, 2015Lovely and delicious breakfast. Forgot American portions though so had to leave half of it. Nice service too. Good brunch menu.
- Tayyare FlyingMay 19, 2016Great place for sunday morning breakfast. Be there early in the morning, get in the line before 8am and get a table or wait for hours
- Anam KhanMay 28, 2014Love this place, cozy and great food. They need to start taking reservations, wait time is a joke '90 minutes' ppl may just be too discouraged to come period.

- Definitely most worth it on weekday mornings when there aren't hoards of people waiting. Penny egg sandwich and curry chicken salad are the best choices!
- Vishal PatelSeptember 25, 2016The Mmhmm Biscuits and Gravy dish is amazing, but can never go wrong with Nutella French toast!
- Maureen PetersonNovember 23, 2014Nice complimentary coffee while you wait, and you willing Sunday. Tiny place so bigger groups will probably wait longer
- Patricia GarcedFebruary 14, 2016I loved the food and ambient the B.B.E.L.T was delicious and the Bellini was great. Definitely recommend.
- Everything here is fantastic, especially the Penny Egg Sandwich. Good brunch deal!
- Steven YApril 4, 2014Cute brunch spot with epic wait times - go early (before 11AM) or prepare to wait 1 hour+; however, they take your number and text you when your table is ready
- Zeynep TugsuzJuly 26, 2016great & fun breakfast menu, intercontinental options for tourists, big portions, affordable prices for NY, and people are very friendly
