Comfy couches and no-wait security lines in BA 1st Classlounge to the left of TSA. Helps if you're going to London. Alternately, there are good chair opposite the restroom, and power plugs.
Don't make the mistake to arrive to early here, before check-in time. There is not much to do or to see. Food selection is very simple (Starbucks & Subway).
Best place to spend a layover is behind Starbucks sitting at the BA laptop connection tables. Plenty of outlets and nice view of the tarmac and gate 7.
You think LaGuardia is bad? May I present to you JFK T7. 3 places to eat, nowhere to sit, awful security checkpoint. Wait til the last possible moment to avoid as much suffering as possible.
For the love of God do everything in your power to avoid having to deal with CBP lines in this terminal. It's a hellish experience that is an ad for Global Entry all its own.
It's a perfectly fine terminal. Some shops, some places to eat. Not massive but good amount of charging stations and the seats are fairlycomfortable. Security was a busy however - leave extra time.
The shoe-shining dude is full of personality! Haven't had my shoes shined but damn, those boots on that woman are blinding! I'd rather spent $8 on that than for an overpriced Hershey's (Hudson News)!
It's still under renovation and it clearly shows... TSA PreChecklines are non-existent (at certain times) and you get a card for the normal line, so can keep shoes on and that's about it
The only 2 options of food before the security area is a Starbucks and a Subway in the first floor (in case you arrive too early to check in, like me).
Try to be cheeky and use the business security line on the very left. They don't mind normally... You will find other airport tips at latedeparture.com
Flew out of here on Virgin on a Tuesday morning. Basic small terminal, no pre-check lane but the line wasn’t that long. Food area is small, tucked off to the side, and a little sad but okay food.
If you get anything done at the spa, they will let you sit in the massage chairs with a blanket and nap for as long as you want!! Even if you leave and come back. That is the layover I'm talkin bout.
check out "croque madam" near gate 23. plenty of seating. you can place a food or drink order on the iPad at your seat and have it delivered. also, USB (4 ports) and 110v (2 outlets) charging.
Probably the worst terminal I have ever been in. All the shops are being remodeled, hence very poor choice of food. No place to sit leaving family to eat off the floor in the gate waiting areas.
This is worse than a 3rd world nation. The security checkpoint for precheck is tight and horrible. Why is gate 11 and 12 on time out by themselves. Ugh
A genuinely horrible terminal... For the genuinely horrible airlines that fly from it... Crowded, noisy and claustrophobic... everything you need before flying...🤮
If you have a poor selection of everything then at least make sure that it’s open. Only bar/restaurant in the terminal closed at 10pm. Worst international terminal ever.
