- Noah WeissNovember 27, 2016It's the perfect upscale but not stuffy date dinner. Menu often changes, but we loved the lamb porchetta, carrot crepes, trout, and chawanmushi. Tasty cocktails, too; enjoy them in the big backyard.
- Lauren SinghJune 14, 2016The menu is listed from smallest to largest portions. Get about 5 plates to share for 2 people and make sure you get the carrot crepe!
- David BanFebruary 3, 2017Incredible meal. Careful, sophisticated cooking without the fuss or pretense (or pricepoint). Get the Crawfish Boil Crackers to start.
- Sam MargoAugust 19, 2017Everything is so good - stars were the carrot crepe, the falafel, and the bluefish salad. Drinks are excellent too - get there before your reservation and sit in the garden on a nice night
- Abby AbruzzoMay 28, 2016Inventive, shareable menu - bring a group and try one of everything. The hen and the leek dishes were two of our favorites. Back garden has seating for drinks and snacks.
- have a drink in the garden (it's lovely). order a few plates from each section of the menu to share. have dessert, maybe back in the garden. and make a plan to return. fantastic service.
- Emily WilsonDecember 17, 2016Warm environment, creative and thoughtful dishes, carefully-crafted space, fun experience. A real gem. Standouts: rosemary cocktail, kale crab rangoon, rutabaga "tagliatelle", Dave's trout, s'mores.
- Roniel TesslerJune 2, 2016FANTASTIC! Entree portions are on the smaller side so get other plates. The Hake was the best I've ever had, the guinea was exceptional (that confit sauce 😋), the clams in that carrot crepe 😋).
- TingSeptember 4, 2017Everything is amazing. Menu changes regularly but seems like the crab Rangoon is a staple which should not be missed! Excellent cocktails also.
- RisaAugust 28, 2016Fresh and exciting without being stuffy or pretentious. Everything is well considered from the space to the plates and napkins. Get ALL the snacks, the carrot crepe, the scallops, and pork collar.
- Cole KennedyMay 29, 2017Dreamy, delightful meal. Their take on crab rangoons and deviled eggs are perfect, but you should try a range of everything. Make a reservation a few weeks in advance and plan a little double date.
- Elena WallinJuly 16, 2021Favorite spot for brunch in New York. Everything on the menu is so tasty, I have a soft spot for the egg rolls, the burger, the new eggs Benedict. Garden is adorable and open in winter (blankets!!)
- Tanya PanaDecember 15, 2019Except our waiter , who didn’t want helps us in anything with contempt in his face , everything else was perfect. Everyone else was so nice ,food and atmosphere was very enjoyable. Must :Squash rings!
- jiresellMarch 26, 2018So good! Get the crab wontons!! Oh and save room for dessert. They do s’mores in the back garden in the Winter.
- Diana OlympiaNovember 2, 2017Hot take: carrot cake good not great 👍🏻 run, don't walk, to get the SWEET POTATO & UNI PIEROGIS 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 cauliflower okonomiyaki 👍🏻👍🏻 popcorn monkfish 👍🏻 rosemary drink 👍🏻👍🏻
- Ashley ChanMarch 7, 2017Worth going for the cute backyard (make real smores there) and creative vegetarian-skewed dishes. Favorite dishes were the carrot crepe and cauliflower. The uni pierogies are not worth getting.
- Natalia FigueroaMay 16, 2018Rutabaga tagliatelle and oysters were amazing!! Cocktails were also delicious. The garden outside is very cute and you don’t need reservations and can order cocktails and snacks.
- Paul KardousMarch 30, 2017If you have 4 or more, order the entire non-snack menu. Don't forget to try some cocktails before diving into the wine list. Even the garnishes are on point.
- Come early and grab a drink in the backyard. Always start brunch with the BEC egg rolls (ask for a side of the sweet chilli sauce). At dinner, make sure the carrot crepe lands on your table.
- Claudia FilthSeptember 6, 2018Every dish is amazing and they have a vegetarian option for almost every non veg dish. Don’t miss the hot and cold lavender yogurt dessert - it’s the perfect light dish to finish your meal.
- Courtney LewisAugust 27, 2018Everything it’s hyped up to be! 🙌🏻 Start w/ oysters, watermelon sushi & duck liver mousse. Must, I repeat MUST get the carrot crepe. Also the dry rubbed scallops and heirloom tomato schnitzel. 🙌🏻
- MarcMay 20, 2019Newsweek '19 Top 9 BK Places: Back garden crammed w/fresh herbs, a quail coop & tub full of crawfish, all of which end up on the nightly menu. Neighborhood spot that's achieved destination restaurant.
- Chris PatrickJune 23, 2018They have s’mores, they have quails, they have tasty drinks, and they have tasty food - I’m not sure what else you need but this is all I need.
- Poonam DesaiJuly 7, 2017The herb garden is super cute, great space to have a drink & a small bite while you wait for your table. The food was unbelievably fresh and tasty. Cocktails were excellent - and the staff <3
- AmateurConciergeAugust 30, 2018Ever changing menu is always super creative and tasty. Pricey, but way cheaper than what the equivalent in Manhattan would be
- Frank MaguireMay 7, 2018The grilled and larbed duck may be the best dish I've ever had. The larb has a perfect texture balance of crispy puffed rice, minced duck and vinegar sauce
- Everything here is amazing. You cannot go wrong with ordering. Make sure to check out the garden and roast marshmallows.
- Bryan IraceDecember 23, 2016Carrot crepe, rutabaga "tagliatelle" and the guinea hen were all incredible. Lives up to the incredibly high hype.
- Jesse LaneJanuary 10, 2019Everything (and I mean everything) was delicious, but the uni and sweet potato pierogi goes down as one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. Could not recommend more highly.
- Claudio EspinalMarch 26, 2017We had about 12-14 dishes. All were phenomenal except maybe 1. I think that says enough. Whatever you do, don't pass on the Guinea Hen 2 ways. I'll be coming back at least once a month.
- LukeFebruary 22, 2018Creative but down to earth menu that changes seasonally. Make reservations and order the carrot crepe
- Leemor YuravlivkerJune 2, 2018Favorites are House gravlax, carrot roll and spanakopita shakshuka. Apple rolls with milk jam reminded me of Cinnabon... tasty but nothing special
- Chris VodolaNovember 25, 2017Very popular. Make a reservation in advance if at all possible on the website. Chef's counter is best seat in the house if you like the action!
- Robin AndersenMay 26, 2018Nice snacks and cocktails. They also have a cozy little backyard where they serve drinks and snacks. Inside it’s you can choose from the whole menu.
- AmateurConciergeJanuary 21, 2017Great and creative menu. Highlights: carrot crepe, tartare (fish), the "tagliatelle". Group DID NOT like the egg custard nor the lamb dish.
- SmitchJune 13, 2016Small portions, but the food is fantastic on all fronts and all courses. The vibe is great, the garden is lovely and the staff are just the right level of attentive.
- miles lennonJuly 1, 2017Excellent, very creative farm-to-table seasonal small plates dinner in a cozy atmosphere
- Samuel MessingFebruary 24, 2017Don't try and go here if you don't have a reservation. All tables are reserved so if you're trying to walk in on a busy night you can only sit at the bar.
- Joanna FlammSeptember 14, 2018Brunch here is fantastic! Make a reservation. Get the egg rolls. Be happy.
- DrewskiAugust 10, 2017Drinks in the garden and frozen yogurt dessert were awesome. Dinner itself was okay. Non seafood fans like myself may struggle with the menu. Thought the fried pickles and falafel were forgettable.
- Rachel 🍰February 6, 2017Overall, the dishes were a bit salty. My expectations for carrot crepe fell short, but guinea hen dish was sweet potato+uni pierogies were unique and delicious
- Inna GMarch 23, 2017Rosemary cocktail was great, and the bartenders are really nice! The food was a bit disappointing, the trout was a bit cold. Def overhyped and not worth the the 2 month wait for a reservation.
- Andrew NuscaMarch 12, 2017The pork collar entree—raclette, broccolini, pepper—is the finest "roast pork sandwich" you'll ever have outside of Philadelphia.
- Reina Nishida-LeeJuly 31, 2019I know it’s been mentioned 19 times already... the 👏🏻 carrot 👏🏻 crepe 👏🏻🙌🏻 my review on it is that it tastes like a magical fairy tale yo’ mouth. It felt like something out of 11 Madison park!
- Beni ChhunMay 2, 2017Carrot crepe and deceptively simple frozen yogurt/honey are genius-level delicious.
