- Remi LefevreAugust 16, 2014The easiest way to get to the centre is the A1 & A2 buses (in T1 follow the "Intermodal" signs): 5.90 EUR one way, with A/C, about 15 min to Plaza de Espana and 25 min to Plaza de Catalunya. Enjoy!Upvoted 4 days ago
- olga zeroNovember 30, 2014To recharge your phones look for these grey cubes with the TVs, right after the shop "Crystal". The sockets are on the lower part. It changed my life, hope it will change yours as well :)Upvoted 2 days ago
- Dr Michael LangeJuly 15, 2018amazing airport. The US could learn from European airports. So clean /fast.we went thru a huge line for security (global entry isn't accepted) that would take an easy hour in the states in six minutes.Upvoted 3 days ago
- If your flight is from gates D, it's worth it to stick around the shopping area, since there's not much to do after passport control. Love doing last minute shopping here.Upvoted Feb 20
- Razvan RomanMarch 3, 2013Never pay 60€ for a boarding pass with RyanAir if you forgot to print it at home. There's a business center with internet and printers at Terminal 1, just ask for directions. Share this info.
- Truman W.June 14, 2017For those departing the EU via BCN, the airport includes 24-hour customs services for stamping those VAT-refunds for you! Very convenient!Upvoted Mar 2

- Colin M. FordOctober 13, 2017Really nice, bright, and clean. If you are flying out of D or E, make sure to do all your shopping before going through passport control. Not many options beyond.
- Ricarda Christina HollwegSeptember 10, 2022Nice architecture and location surrounded by mountains. It‘s very busy and walking to the gate can be long. I like the ”Natura“ shop in the central area of Terminal 1 very much.
- Best & absolute cheapest way to get to and from the city is on the Renfe train outside T2. Buy a T-10 card (10 single rides on the metro/renfe) the card can be shared. €1 per ride/person
- RAKANApril 13, 2023Nicely designed airport 🛫 ✈️ They have fast check-in luggage drop-off if your flight departs in less than 1 h 🧳 security pass was fast 👍the staff was helpful ✨

- Roman BelovAugust 16, 2014You better hurry up and arrive at least a couple of hours before your flight. They sometimes love to create a disastrous clusterfuck at the airport, so it may save you from being late for your plane!
- Ariel HermanSeptember 1, 2017Nice airport with especially great shopping options. The best shopping is on the lower level before security. Zara is there, of course, and also gourmet Turrons Vicens for your last-minute souvenir.
- Look for electric sockets hidden in the lower area of the big glass-covered air con rectangular columns. Your Smartphone will thank you.
- Mark BJune 30, 2023Great large airport with plenty of shopping areas for Duty Free options. Gove yourself plenty of time to get through security. It goes fairly quickly but you don’t want to cut it close.
- If you have a long wait the paid lounge is worth it. You will end up spending more money on food and drinks anyways, so 20 Eur is a good deal for free snack and comfortable seating while waiting.
- Katerina👑🔨💍 IeromonachouSeptember 2, 2017Very well organized! Nice stores for all wallets and cool cafes and restaurants! Clean enough restrooms.
- S PJanuary 3Well designed and laid out, easy to navigate, bright, comfortable, good workspaces, comfortable lounges, good shopping and good food. One of my favorite airport.
- Michael B.June 30, 2023A Big airport. Train €3 or a Taxi €35 to Barcelona (€4 or €70 to Sitges). Quick security. Nice staff. Lots of cafés and restaurants.
- MuratMay 16, 201920-25 min drive away from city (40-45 min in traffic). Very passenger friendly, well organized. Security line can be long, gies fast. Still give extra time during high season. Always busy at weekends.
- Great tip from @patjem: Go to the VIP area for only €25 and get free drinks and food, newspapers and relax chairs. Cheaper than buying breakfast or food in the restaurants!
- Gus MoreiraNovember 4, 2014Very good airport in general. There only bad things I could notice is the 15min free Wi-Fi and the distance between T1 and T2. It takes you about 15 min
- Nice airport. I miss a little of food opinions. Nice hub to travel across Europe and great if you’re planning to visit Ibiza/Palma de Mallorca.
- Richard NMarch 26, 2016If have time DON'T go through passport control straight after security when going to gate D. Instead go downstairs for lovely outside area with a Costa cafe and also much more shops/food choices.
- Seng HoongJune 15, 2019IMPORTANT! They hav the dumbest airport design. Pls dnt go to the immigration counters if u want to shop, 80% shops are at Gate A B C. U will get stuck with Gate E D once you go through the counters
- Abbas AlbayatiSeptember 1, 2019A very big airport. You can use L9sud metro to reach city center. Quite large duty free but our flight was schedueled to a gate that goes only by a very small duty free!
- Heading to downtown Barcelona? Bus A1 from Terminal 1 leaves every few minutes, costs €5.90 single, has free Wi-Fi and even USB chargers for your thirsty phone.
- John AndersonMay 30, 2019If you’re flying from T2C there are very few places to eat. It’s worth getting there early and grabbing something in T2 A or B. Also, 2C is quite far from the Metro so allow a little extra time.
- The outdoor area downstairs in the terminal is fantastic while waiting for a flight. Maybe a cafe con leche? With 286 days of sun you will enjoy it.
- Tara DograSeptember 26, 2017Be aware that the shops are before passport check in, so if you want to have a browse before departure, I would advise to get there early.
- Love that this airport actually has nice stores, in terminal 1 you can find Zara, Massimo Dutti, Lacoste... Amazing shop selection, for the first time i bought clothes in an airport.
- WELCOME TO BARCELONA! If You have to go to sitges take the bus monbus. In 30 min. you'll be in downtown. Fast & confortable. Like a taxi, here you have the schedule www.monbus.cat #Sitges #Barcelona
- Caline DabineOctober 21, 2016The Aerobus is faster than taking the Metro to city centre. It's hard to find: same floor as the metro entrance near the interurban buses. Just ask someone where to go of you can't find it.
- One of the largest and busiest airports in Spain. Well organized and clean.
- Terminal 1 has really nice stores! If you feel like shopping, it's perfect. For a coffee or a snack, go to Costa Coffee.
- Dimitris VerverellisOctober 28, 2014One of the best airports I have ever been. Service is excellent. Great selection of stores in Duty Free. Taxi from or to the airport from city center 30€ -40€.
- looking for a data SIM card? when you arrive at T1, exit, you'll see Caffe Fiore. walk behind it, pass the info counter and on the right side you'll see an area called Lebara next to LaCaxia bank.
- Tara SbzApril 8, 2017The free-shop is the best part of it for sure, enough seats for every one waiting for their flight and it's pretty clean too
- Michael GroßeMarch 18, 2018They now have dedicated charging stations with common power outlets and USB ports. They are located around terminal B. Recharge your phone and download a few Netflix movies before a flight 😀
- Nice airport. Just be aware of the random control points setup by the local police in the access highway. It may add 20’ to your ride.
- If you're on an international flight, and have time, go downstairs after security, before passport control first - there are a lot more options for shopping and food in the lower main terminal area.
- Michael ThurmMarch 2, 2017There is an extra security check for parents with children (very fast), and a last minute check in, if you are late. (and for some flights e.g. ZRH you have to check in 50! minutes before takeoff
- Lauma ZAugust 26, 2014A very spacious and big airport, so be early for your flight just in case you get lost. Otherwise, it's a very comfortable airport which is not far away from the city center (~15 minutes).
- Teodora Lilova-StoyanovaJune 4, 2016Great open space of various shops, which you can access both via arrivals and departures. Lots of cafes as well. One of my favorite airports.
- Alison LimApril 2, 2017Take the Aerobus downtown. The train might be included in your Metro pass, but you will not regret forking out the extra 11€ to get it done in less than half the time.
- Saskia K.December 14, 2016Nice and new airport building with many spots to Shop (Zara, Mango, Desigual) an dine. One big Problem is the lack of an adequate possibility to charge your phone or laptop.
- Delyn SimonsMay 6, 2017If you want food or gifts to take back home, get it before you get through passport control. The pickings are slim once you get through the gates.
