- Feels like a bar in a residential European neighborhood. Oysters, shooters, cheese plate and other food all excite. Interesting wines by taste, half or full glass, craft cocktails.
- Village VoiceSeptember 17, 2012This tiny wine spot keeps it interesting with its wine list that crosses many oceans and spans all price points. Lots of bottles and half bottles under $45 like French Minervois and Mallorcan White.
- Katie SchlossFebruary 7, 2012A perfect first date spot, Blue Ribbon Downing Street Bar is a great place to get a cocktail, split one of the specialty toasts, & if the date is going well, wander across the street for dinner.
- amy pelletierAugust 27, 2016This place is the perfect little spot to share a bottle of wine, we had a wonderful Boca there recently that i hadn't a seen on many lists. Wonderful.
- Lou PaskalisJuly 31, 2018The wine list has many hidden gems. They’d be easier to find if you bring a magnifying glass
- Monica SumaNovember 5, 2013Amazing spot for brunch. The smoked salmon and poached eggs dish is delicious! Must try the cream tomato soup, best I've ever had!
- EMarch 18, 2015Get a cocktail or wine recommendation. Cozy and small space gives intimate feel. Try the shooters!
- Andrew ChoiAugust 12, 2014Try the Country Lawyer or the Port of Spain. Cocktails are great, but not the best I've had at the same price point. Cute and cozy spot though.
- Sara StatesJune 23, 2013This place is just awesome and cozy and everything good. Food was amazing and the wine selection really great. Bartender is super friendly and had A++ suggestions.
- Heather HeckJanuary 22, 2017One of my favorite bars: intimate with great drink selections, and you can always count on them to play the Smiths 😊.
- sit at the seats up front adjacent to both the bar and the window — trust me, this is the best spot in the place. start off with the egg shooters and then graduate from there
- Deepak ShrivastavaJuly 5, 2013Great find in a great neighborhood. Drinks are solid and the atmosphere low key. Perfect for a casual date and non chalante conversation
- lisa limSeptember 17, 2011Great place to meet for drinks but it's tiny so you have to either go early or after 11pm. Food is delicious here too! A little on the pricy side but worth it.
- Rikin DiwanNovember 17, 2014Good coffee. The chorizo eggs Benedict was the best. Really wish they had a Benedict Cumberbatch though.
- Get the country lawyer. Sometimes they take it off the menu, ask the bartender for it. You won't regret.
- harryhApril 8, 2013If it's available, definitely go for the smoked duck & foie gras toast. It's super tasty.
- StonehengeNYCDecember 11, 2011A cozy little spot for drinks with snacks from the Blue Ribbon restaurant next door. We like the oysters and caviar egg shooters.
- Mingbot RobertsAugust 12, 2013Amazing burger. And don't leave without getting dessert...the bread puddings are insanely good.
- Matt DuckorOctober 19, 2010Great for a casual drink before dinner at one of the many great spots in the area (say, The Little Owl). Order the Seventh Samurai, a Yamazaki-based cocktail.
