Finally! I've been wanting to try the Meaty Legend for so long, And it was worth the wait! Super cheesy, super Meaty, super bacony, super hot, super flavorful! Hands down the best pizza I've ever had!
By far my favorite pizza. Awesome building and amazing cheese and sausage pizza. Be sure to get the patty and not the crumble. I try to get out here every time I'm here. Well worth the 400 mile trek.
Dang! Best Chicago deep dish I have ever had. Which makes sense since I am a Seattlelite in Chicago. Get the Meaty Legend and revel in its meaty deep dishness. For quick seating, go to the bar.
One of the more famous deep-dish pizza joints in Chicago. The pizza is good, but not great. The atmosphere here is really what's worth coming for. Autograph that wall before you leave!
Toasted ravioli was a great appetizer to share while you wait, had about 6 pieces. Deep dishcheese and crumbled sausage was amazing!! Just off N. Michigan ave, great stop for a shopping break
Awesome Date NightPizzeria!!! Food is Fresh and Delish! Hahaha! even the booth seat fit me and I'm Bigggg & Sexy!!! We had the BBQ Chicken Pizza thin crust!!! The Bomb!!!!!! Yeeeeeeez!!!!!
The pizza was AWESOME. The ingredients tasted fresh, they were generous with the portions, and very good service. Definitely my fav deep dish pizza in Chicago so far.
it's almost as if they built this place with extra walls so even more people could write on them. don't let your eyes get bigger than your appetite: a medium deep dish is enough (400 cals a slice!)
So in addition to having the best pizza, Gino's has stepped up the craft beer menu a bit. 5 locals on tap and about 20 decent bottles to choose from. Nicely done.
Great Deep Dish Pizza. You may want to try to go early before the dinner rush. Takes about 1 hour to get a pizza cooked so you may want to order a salad or appetizer. .
Deep Dish pizza offerings accented with crispycrunchy crust, melted cheese and sauces to swan dive into. Choose veggie or meat choices. Save room for dessert!
They said small is barely enough for two people ;) so we ordered the medium... small would have been enough :D other than that staff is friendly and pizza was great!
Don't order a New York style pizza in Chicago, get deep dish! Get a pie with pepperoni and green olives. To pass time while waiting for your pizza, bring a marker and graffiti up the place!
Featured on popular shows like US of Bacon, Best Thing I Ever Ate , Crage and Man v. Food, this place is part of food royalty. A must stop for any tv foodie.
Prepare you to wait a lot! More than you needed! The personnel here talks too much and work too little! The security guy is tallest in the photo, he talks and acts like he was going to kick us out.
Be ready to try the most amazing deep-dish pizza of your life! Be sure to look behind the counter to see photos of the creators from 1966 - two taxi cab drivers and their buddy!
Deep dish takes approximately 45 minutes-1 slice fills you up (but you'll end up eating on or finishing a 2nd piece bc it's so yummy-bring a sharpie or white out to write on the walls
My wife and I were here in the end of December 2008 and had the best pizza I have ever had, The Meaty Legend. Now nearly 3 Years layer we are back for the same meaty goodness:-)
What’s my take on the age-old argument: New York thin crust versus Chicago deep dish? Let’s just say, I’m a Brooklyn guy, but Gino's tests my loyalty. – Adam Richman, Man v. Food
The deep dish pizza at Gino's East is unforgettable. Call them a day before your trip ends and have them prepare a frozen one for you to take back home.
The sausage pizza is a hubcap-sized disc of sausage in a deep dish pizza. Do not contemplate buying anything else. And grab a craft beer, you've got a 45-minute wait at least.
The veggie pizza.. So. Much. Garlic. In every single bite..minced so fine that you can't separate it. The house salad.. lots of lettuce, ONE olive, 2 thin rings of onion, half a tomato - don't bother
