The perfect place to go veg… particularly during the bountiful summer months! Chef Portale does a wonderful job of highlighting produce from the Union Square Greenmarket.

French pastry doesn't get better than this, try the Tarte Tatin for two. The best flaky pie crust of your life brushed with a burnished coat of glazed puff pastry, & inside the soft baked apples glow. Read more

Chef Raprocki bakes each tart to order, resulting in densely caramelized apples inside a buttery, flaky crust. Served alongside vanilla ice cream, it’s a fine way to finish a meal at Gotham. Read more

I tried kale strawberry salad, branzino and lemon parfait from the prix fix menu and everything was delicious, thus cappuccino was too strong like real espresso.. delicious food! Portions are ok!

One of the best meals I have had in my life. The atmosphere is what makes this place. It's nice, and knows it, but stands behind its food rather than glaming you into thinking you've got a good meal.

Book in advance and ask to be placed on one of the tables on the platform. That's where the regulars go - and for good reason. Lobster is wonderful and the steak is perfect. Do both!

The chef's fabled reliance on the Union Square Greenmarket can be limiting, and menu seems frozen in 1990s. Where are the grains, legumes and accents from beyond our nearby farms? ★★★ Read more

Had dinner and now movie next door. My favorite dish there is the skate. This time, I got the Naiman pork chop. Perfectly cooked, tender, pepper crust, baby daikon, spinach, and a glass of wine.

Outstanding. I had dinner, it was so good I went back two days later for lunch. The corn soup on lunch menu & cod on dinner menu are great. Chocolate cake is to die for.

Went here for NYC's Restaurant Week. Didn't think there was anything exceptional about Gotham especially considering its price, but its assorted sorbets and signature Gotham cake save it.

Greats can come-and-go in a flash, but Gotham lives on first-class food+drinks. A splendid vodka gimlet was paired with mixed nuts, a rarity at the bar in 2011. Decor has gone stuffy, crowd classic.
