- Project Latte: a NYC cafe culture guideSeptember 4, 2013The first quality coffee shop in the area, Cafe Grumpy brings their quality coffee roasting, consistent coffee preparation & stellar baked goods to the Garment District. Seating but no wifi.
- Serious EatsSeptember 24, 2013Fifth outpost of this Greenpoint roaster offers lots of seating and homemade pastries, but no computers are allowed.
- Love their mochas and flat white. Just like their other shops, no laptops allowed. Tables are all communal at this location if that matters to you.
- No laptops allowed and no outlet plugs, but feel free to snag a spot near the window and hang out with your book/kindle/phone. Super nice baristas!
- Květinka LéňaFebruary 10, 2017Our new fav place in the City. Perfect flat white! The barista was really friendly and funny :) wonderful music playing in the background was just the icing on the cake. Go there!
- Central place to meet. Tables seat 20, plus bench by the window. Coffee and pastries are excellent. Queuing is awkward but is also a testament to how busy it got so quickly.
- Good coffee, although I might prefer Culture in the area. They have loyalty cards, and the regulars in the morning make for a long but fast moving line.
- Mark NowellDecember 30, 2013It's my first time here and I love it! Get the mocha espresso! Nice crew too specially the barista. :))
- The best coffee option in this neighborhood. They have yummy pastries too. Not a lot of seating, but you can hang out for a bit.
- VJune 6, 2015Their flat white is amazing! Service is really nice and they draw on the coffee. It's free laptop coffee shop.
- Shaquana ChaneyfieldJanuary 17, 2017Mornings get hectic, as the shop is pretty small, but they move quickly! The iced coffee is divine! Highly recommended.
- Nikki BogopolskayaFebruary 4, 2016An oasis in the hellish South Times Square neighborhood - fantastic coffee, pastries + wine, too bad it's always jam-packed.
- E PNovember 21, 2013Don't forget to order a pastry with your drink. All pastries are one of a kind including the truffles. They instantly melt in your mouth.
- Excellent coffee, great place to hang out for a while (laptops not permitted). The baked goods are nice.
- Iced mocha is really good. But watch out for grumpy baristas. They also dont allow you to use laptops even when theres no one at the cafe.
- If you come early ~8am, there's a pastry tasting. Just enough bite to sweeten your espresso.
- Cyc Fitness™October 13, 2016#Claufee Pro Tip: I never deviate from my cold brews and regular hot coffee – both pair well with any sweet. I don’t like to drink my calories, but I love to eat them. #CycLife
- Bcjskzkjcjcjdksllx. Kdkskkvogotpw. Loved it. Live music. Jukebox. Stiff drinks. Sushi. Spicy food. Ahhhhhhhhhhhfksksj
- Bryan LlorenteMay 23, 2017Great coffee. It's a laptop free coffeeshop but is perfect to relax if you're in midtown Manhattan
- Nate BeattyFebruary 7, 2015Sometimes you just need a pour-over with attitude and overpriced perfection. It's all about the experience. Also, don't bring a laptop and check in discretely.
- Ben DruckerSeptember 9, 2014Probably my favorite spot in NYC. No laptops, quality espresso, and plenty of seating (including outdoor).
- Ossy AlawwamOctober 13, 2014Have the Las Flores, Honduras. Really amazing with nuances of berries & cherry.
- Joey GrohFebruary 27, 2015The cold brew coffee is just absolutely fantastic. The pour overs are also amazing!
- Jessie RDecember 28, 2014Super trendy coffee shop, strange layout but cozy for sure. Flat white was killer (my first one)
- Kevin YienJune 26, 2015Great coffee and espresso drinks. And even better for meetings. Not good for getting work done (no wifi)
- kathrine mitchellNovember 8, 2014The espresso and coffee is perfect, smooth and rich. The scones and croissants are delectable.
- John AMarch 7, 2015Love the intensity of the pour over coffee. Salted chocolate chip cookies are good.
- Jasmine HsuOctober 8, 2014the other spot in chelsea is a bit more homey but this spot has a cool collaborative study space.
- Josef SzottenMarch 7, 2015Good coffee and a very cozy outside area at the back. Perfect in the summer
- Leigh Anne ZinsmeisterMarch 1, 2015This is the least midtowny place in midtown and I mean that as the highest praise.
- The coffee is really good. Great decaf if that’s your cup of tea...
- Immediately after taking a sip of your cappuccino, take a bite of your blackberry financier pastry. Then quickly take another sip. You're welcome.
- Their ristretto espressos are rich and distinct in flavor. Far superior to anything you'll get at Starbucks.
- Justine Santa CruzJanuary 11, 2014Perfect coffee spot with room to sit, graze and have a good coffee!
- Irina LeonidovnaSeptember 27, 2017Nice vibe and good coffee. Just too bitter for my taste, I prefer the more acidic ones

- Rory MillerSeptember 21, 2013The cappuccino is delicious and they have a ton of different pour over options.
- Matthew MortonSeptember 19, 2014Can't go wrong w/ a flat white but their drip specials are special..
- Micah SpielerDecember 10, 2015Good coffee and cool scene. Then there's the "no laptops allowed" thing...
