- Linh TJuly 29, 2013The soup comes with green onions asking for more makes it even tastier since its such a generous portion of soup! This week is the soft opening and the grand will be in August. Be prepared to wait!
- Starry KitchenNovember 13, 2013Solid menu replica of the Lil Tokyo staple with a couple of new dishes, but the REAL REASON to go here: 1 of the most immersive spaces in LA. Makes ya feel like yer in the small streets o' Japan y'all
- Darius SepanlouMay 3, 2017Can't go wrong with some Ramen soup. Also try the Japanese style coleslaw and BBQ pork belly. Fried rice reminded me of New York City Chinese style . So yummy
- Ting KellyFebruary 25, 2015I tried all three ramens. Their tsukemen ramen (dipping ramen) is out of this world. So rich and amazing!
- Gorkem UnelApril 27, 2015Try chicken egg fried rice ! Nicely decorated place has japanese music all time and staff is always friendly. Chili peppers spread all around the table, yay !
- Philip TamJanuary 19, 2016Has a more substantive menu than some other locations, but also seems to be a teensy bit pricier to reflect the higher rent prices. Often there is a wait since the place is small. Still, one of my fav
- Vic ZaudMay 16, 2019Some the best ramen I’ve ever had (spicy miso recommended); but their gyoza are the BEST ive tasted even in Japan.
- Dan KaoAugust 21, 2013My favorite ramen place finally opens up on the west side. Ramen is not the only good thing on the menu. Check out the takoyaki and cutlet rice bowls!
- Joseph CNovember 8, 2014Daikokuya's Tsukemen Ramen! (Dipping *in Sauce* Style Ramen) mix everything up together well! 👍
- Dan SteinbergOctober 13, 2013See that glass container in front of you with whitish stuff inside? That's crushed garlic. I suggest you heap a few spoonfuls into your ramen to enhance the flavor.
- Definitely my favorite ramen in LA. Try the spicy miso ramen. The coleslaw salad is good too.
- Jastine KhoJanuary 21, 2016If you're not in the mood for ramen, get the shredded pork rice bowl! So so good!!
- Christina CristalAugust 6, 2015I wholeheartedly recommend ordering their takoyaki and any ramen bowl, with an extra egg!
- Deep SidhpuraNovember 2, 2019Their Vegan ramen is great! Really large portions! Also their house salad is nice
- Erik RiveraOctober 11, 2013That Spicy Ramen is some sexy shit in a bowl!!!!! Definitely order it, you won't regret it!!!'
- Matthew GoldDecember 21, 2014If you come at the right time, with the right number of people (4 PM on a Saturday by myself) you can slide in, no wait required.
- The original one is better, but this one is also good. Love the pork cuttlet
- Tsukamen finally served at the Sawtelle location. Do yourself a favor and get it here. Tsujita is down the street and doesn't compare.
- Cho Ki TamJuly 26, 2014Wow leave the customer unattended for 15 mins while there are two tables available. Wow
- Tiffany PrugpichailersJuly 25, 2013Long wait if you've got more than 2 people. Delicious ramen, though!
- Order the ramen and ask for koteri style. You won't regret it.
- Matt BrownAugust 1, 2013why drive all they way to Little Tokyo in downtown when you can get great ramen west of the 405?
- Akio YamadaNovember 2, 2013Try their delicious, uniquely-shaped gyoza, profusely garnished with green onions!
- David HeiserAugust 14, 2017Pretty disappointed in the ramen here despite all the hype. Wish the broth had more flavor.
- Don't get the tsukemen. It's just regular ramen broth with nothing in it but a sauce that gives it a "sharper flavor." Tsujita's destroys this.
- Julia ParkOctober 24, 2016Just okay. Too much hype. Wouldn't wait for over 15min for this place, while the food is pretty good.
