- Fish & chips in the bar when you're missing London. Marlowe burger in the dining room for making deals in SF. Royal gin & tonic (blanc) is my go-to, but the whole cocktail menu is on point
- HH: Daily 2:30-5:30pm; includes select $8 wine and cocktails, $5 draught beer, and discounted bites, like crispy Brussels sprouts chips ($5), Hen Egg Hollandaise ($8), and a $12 Marlowe Burger.
- Can't go wrong with anything at this incredible restaurant. Don't miss the Lamb Scrumpets, Tartares, Cocktails, Duck Duck Scotch Egg, and Welsh Rarebit Soufflé. Read about it on WinstonWanders below!! Read more
- Spencer HoltawayJanuary 12, 2016Did I just spend $28 on a shepherd's pie? Yes. What's it worth it (pie, service, real ale/bitter availability)? Yes.
- Washington PostFebruary 13, 2014Critic Tom Sietsema: "I can’t recall eating better, or bigger, Scotch eggs. Puccio uses duck eggs instead of the usual chicken eggs and wraps them in duck confit rather than the usual sausage." Read more
- Classiest place for breakfast in the hood. Sure, the bacon egg & cheese sandwich is $13, but is a reeeaaaallllyyy good $13 breakfast sandwich :)
- Verne SmithAugust 19, 2017Great service was matched by extremely good food. The potted Dungeness crab was exceptional. Definitely not a cheap night out but worth it for an occasion.
- Tom ADecember 20, 2014A great London pub in the hear of SF! The food is unique for SF yet an excellent example of a London pub. Lamb, steak fries in beef fat, pot pies, fish n chips, the list goes on! I'll be back
- Kimberly WongOctober 5, 2013Great ambience and fantastic service. Our bartender was generous with the pours and even offered to give me a "splash" (aka half glass) of wine while I waited for my friend to finish his drink! Love!!
- Produces a really delicious but fairly inauthentic third-hand simulation of good British gastropub food. Everything is good - particularly the drinks - and I strongly recommend it.
- Ms HeleneAugust 25, 2018Brussel sprouts chips $9, quail eggs $3 and cocktails best. Skip scallops $32 but not the almond joy dessert
- martina souradaAugust 10, 2013simply. awesome. cant lose with the salads, fish n chips are perfect, ale brined pork is insane. dont even get me started on how sublime the cocktails are.... the barrister, the whiz bang ....mmmmm
- Come famished. The quail eggs, a White Lady and super-tender lamb scrumpets were perfection. Puccio never does a steak wrong, but the beef-dripping chips stole the show. Plan to finish the menu soon!
- CITY GRITAugust 1, 2014While the entrees are superb (More Steak and Oyster Pie, please!), we think this is the perfect spot for breakfast. Don’t miss the Hen Egg Hollandaise with Ham & Cheese Soldiers.
- Absolutely amazing. It's as if I had never left London. Weather included sadly in August. Oysters. Quail egg. Splendid. Fish and Chips. Then the scotch egg. Speechless. Cocktails ... Amazing. Bramble.
- Wilson Favre-DelerueJune 24, 2017This is your gastro pub in town: a good selection of British ales and lagers and classic pub fare taken upscale.
- Rachel KingNovember 7, 2014The waiter described the Cavalier Salad as "beautiful," and he wasn't kidding. It was DELICIOUS -- the best house salad anywhere. (Instantly vegan if you say w/o cheese too.)
- Rikin DiwanMarch 27, 2015The breakfast is simple but so good. Also the mix of classic rock songs has everyone bobbing their heads and humming guitar solos.
- Crab/shrimp app is my jam and the hen egg hollandaise will make your (British) mama cry. Pimm's Cup cocktail is the tops!
- Order the lamb scrumpets, scotch egg and the welsh rarebit soufflé.
- Queenie C.January 26, 2015Romantic spot. Start your day off with breakfast end your night with dessert. Doesn't hurt that it's next to Hotel Zetta...also a hip spot to stay when in SF.
- Fabulous British fare. Try the quail eggs and the beef dripping chips. If you ask nicely on a slow night, you might end up in Marianne's.
- Amazing service. Amazing food. Try the duck duck scotch egg. Wow. Also the steak & egg pie!

- Rob MaddisonJanuary 29, 2016Great English-themed bistro - try the hollandaise with cheese and ham soldiers
- Jacob Van De WeertJanuary 11, 2015The ribeye comes with some homemade thick-cut fries. Which are delicious on their own, but drowning them in the marrow gravy is a must for ultimate deliciousness.
- Chris MaddernJune 19, 2016The Brussel sprout chips are amazing. Deviled quail eggs for all! Also one of the best Sheppard's pies I've ever had.
- KarstenNovember 17, 2014Order the Brussels sprouts chips, the fish and chips, and the pumpkin pudding!
- katie naglOctober 27, 2013Best fish n chips I've ever had (also echoed by my British friend). But skip the brussels - they don't compare to Marlowe.

- Robert Tolar HainingMarch 3, 2018I just had a simple breakfast of eggs, toast, and coffee, but it was all prepared very well.
- Brad TFebruary 25, 2018Scotched egg was perfect. While the Tomato Benedict has promise it was unfort served cold (not on purpose). Baked eggs just so so.
