- Milk tea, tapioca balls, housemade grass jelly and almond jelly as toppings. Almond milk substitute for dairy. Locally sourced and organic. Hipster (if that matters).
- Hong Kong style iced with boba and 25% sweetness is my go-to
- Shannon ZNovember 28, 2014Jasmine Milk (or soy) with 1/2 almond jelly & 1/2 tapioca balls $5. Not consistent with quality of product, depending on the staff you will either have the best boba tea ever or the most watered down.
- Christine WuFebruary 8, 2015Wonderful Hong Kong style bubble tea. If you see it, get the Taiwanese pineapple cake--it's one of the specialties of the island!
- Katherine M.July 16, 2014If you plan to have boba, it may as well be hipster boba. Using only the finest ingredients (Straus family milk, handmade jellos). The slow bar menu (brewed from tea leaves) is worth the wait.
- Don't miss a peek at the specials! They're posted to the right of the sales register. Try the strawberry matcha latte. 👌🏼
- Soo-Lin HansenFebruary 25, 2014They put a lot of love into the drinks they make. The tapioca pearls are perfect. I love their Jasmine milk Tea with soy milk. That's what keeps me comin back :)
- Caroline DengJanuary 17, 2016With its roots in SF, no wonder it's known as the most hipster bubble tea place. You can't go wrong with Horchata Boba or Hong Kong Style Boba.
- I am in love with the decaf black milk tea. The wild cotton candy flavors are also super fun!
- ReginaAugust 19, 2014Slow bar is worth the wait. It's all about the Earl Grey. Don't turn your nose up at the hipster vibe. Ignore it and get yourself some awesome boba.
- Maya ShanmugamJune 1, 2017Hong Kong Style is a gem; try the rose black tea for something floral and decadent.
- Matthew DanielSeptember 7, 2013Be prepared to wait, as it is very small and very popular (especially around snack time, 3pm)They are one of the few places that offer freshly brewed tea, if you're willing to wait an extra 5 minutes
- Nathalie BernalJune 23, 2013boba is good, but I think they still need improvement on their teas. Kind of watery. They need to take a trip down to Orange County to try REAL boba drinks! Maybe even add Vietnamese ice coffee!
- MaxJuly 3, 2016Super popular boba spot with fantastic teas but only OK boba and grass jelly. The Muscat oolong was really rich. Order 50% sugar or less.
- BommyNovember 8, 2014Tried decaf black tea with boba + almond jelly. Like that i can customize with choice of toppings, milk, and sweetness level.
- Connie ChiuMarch 23, 2016Classic HK milktea was better than the special drinks. Sometimes classic is always better. I tried the lavender earl grey and was thoroughly disappointed.
- Artisanal boba tea in the Mission courtesy of this former pop-up that’s morphed into brick-and-mortar cafes; the milk teas are made from organic premium ingredients.
- Jovy GillJuly 8, 2013Tapioca balls are so well made. The almond jelly is also house-made: almond extract, almond milk, Straus milk and gelatin. Soooooo good!
- Sam C.April 21, 2014Super minimal, somewhat $$$ for what it is. Got the green tea lychee milk tea ("slow" brew) which was good. Boba is excellent, but I can think of places that easily rival. No bathroom, barely seating.
- Marissa LEFebruary 24, 2015Boba texture was spot on. Hong Kong style did not taste any different from other boba teas I've gotten elsewhere so next time I'd go with the more popular milk tea
- Youngjae ParkMay 16, 2014Their special teas (that takes about 5 minutes to brew) are worth a try! You can also ask for less sugar.
- Alicia ZMarch 7, 2017One of the more pricier boba places served with plenty of ice. Pretty good milk tea. Not too much space to sit.
- Nathalie BernalJune 23, 2013Classic is good, jasmine milk tea is better, horchata milk tea... Terrible! Skip that one! Tried something from their slow bar today and that was good. I also had one of their macaroons and it was 👍
- Paul SevillanoApril 15, 2014Get the HK toast it's bomb and the horchata Boba but personally I'd steer clear of the almond jelly stick with tapioca
- The HK milk tea here is well flavored, rich, and some of the best you can get in this country. Yes, I said COUNTRY.
- Candice Ibarra BúnMarch 4, 2016The Matcha at 50% sweet was just sweet enough for my taste! Glad I listened to the cashier!
- Katie YamadaSeptember 27, 2015Best horchata I've ever had and I've never had tapioca balls with that much flavor
- Winnie TamAugust 17, 2015Horchata tea is unique and delicious. Get it with the homemade almond jelly
- William FergusonJuly 6, 2015Best bubble tea in SF. Get it without the sweetener, so you can taste the quality of the tea used.
- I'm a fan of the classic milk tea with boba, but I've heard good things about the matcha and all of the slow tea options.
- No real room to sit, but the drinks are still pretty good. Get a drink and stroll over to Dolores Park for a nice view of people and the city.
- The teas and drinks are great. The tapioca itself could improve, but it's still good.
- Thomas ChungNovember 16, 2014For those that don't have a sweet tooth, I recommend 50% sweetness, which is perfect for me.
- Jess LMarch 21, 2016Love he HK toast. Milk tea was good but I think I've just never been a boba person.
- Vickie ZhaoAugust 12, 2013Super fresh and healthy. Not too sweet because of their organic production
- Mortiche WongMay 12, 2016Love their Boba teas Half and half instead of milk? Pour it on and fatten me up!
- stay on the low side for sweetness, it's sweeter compared to other teas. don't skip the boba
