Most crowded NYC attraction, be prepared for slow walkers! Billboard lights are always illuminated and awesome to see at night. Easily accessible by subway or walking. Lots of good eats on 9th Avenue
Vandy💋August 23, 2015I love New York. Plain and simple. The lights, the people, the stores, the beauty as well as the hustle and bustle. Exploring at night was tons of fun. I'd relive that adventure. NYC is a beauty.

HISTORYApril 10, 2010This area was originally named Longacre Square but was renamed in 1904 when the NY Times moved to the skyscraper now known as One Times Square at 42nd St., famous for the Times Square Ball drop.
There's always plenty happening here any time of year. If you get the chance though, New Year's Eve is one for the bucket list!

The best time to come here is 3am when it feels a bit quieter. The signs make it feel like it is still day. Very surreal.

If you've never been to New York City. Then i recommend you come here. The iconic area now mostly pedestrianised is a hub for tourists, but sits in the middle of many great things to see n do in NYC
BreAnn MarieApril 24, 2019You don’t know you’re there until you are in the middle of Times Square. On a nice day it’s crowded but go to the top of the red stairs and you’ll get a good view that isn’t too crowded most weekdays.
Great place to explore and walk around during the day or late at night! You just tip the characters you take pictures with. They are pushy!

Touristy spot that usual New Yorkers avoid, but will pass by every once in a while to show visiting friends around. Colorful billboards and lively place. Good to check out if you’re from out of town.

The most visited tourist spot on the planet. It continues to get way too commercialized congested and the remnants of what made NYC so great, are slowly fading. Props to the new seating, however.
If you're planning on coming here for new years, make sure you arrive around 3 or 4pm otherwise you'll be all the way at the back and will miss the performances!

This is our home turf! Look up at 1515 Broadway (the building with crown...or devil horns) and wave at VH1. If you're hungry, the best pizza slice in the area is on 43rd btw 7th and 8th at Bella Vita!
You could be walking along snakes, naked people, all sorts of heroes and characters. And you may not notice single one of them. That's Times Square for you. Oh you may find a theater or two also...
Heart of NYC, with the famous red stairs. You feel empowered surrounded by all the hustle and bustle! Light up with billboards and live performances. This place has a charm.
Pretty much always jammed with people, which makes it difficult to walk when they stop and take pics. I like to play the game called don't stop walking - it can be pretty tough.
Fun fact: if you want to be here for the ball drop on New Years Eve, you will need to be here by around Noon on 12/31. Yes, 12 hours of waiting. Watch it from home instead!

It may take you 10+ mins to walk just one street block. You'll see lots of people dressed up in costumes that just ruin my childhood memories and nude wo/men. You can get professional quality photos if you ask multiple tourists to take a photo of you on your camera. Some of them will be amazing photographers. Look for people with their own fancy cameras.
